The 2008 Ford Escape is a wonderful car. It is excellent in all type of weather and the best car I have ever owned. Great all-around vehicle.

I purchased a Hybrid and soon discovered it required a $6400 repair - the Electronic & Hydraulic Control Module needed to be replaced and that part costs $4700, plus labor, plus replace the metal brake lines - total $6400. Ford never did a recall. Google this issue. The car otherwise is great - very comfortable, great stereo, drives smooth, good pick up, etc. Due to this brake issue, which I suspect has to do with lack of cooling of the Electronic Control Module part of the brake system, the car is not reliable - this part could brake down at 50k or later.

I loved this car since I got it. Perfect size for travel and a great car for teens and 20 some year olds. Great style and safe.

Love ty he more traditional body style on the old escape. Gets the job done and not bad on fuel efficiency. I'd be more likely to buy another one
