These are great cars

Great cars to own. Good room for a small SUV, comfortable to drive. Handling is good, good braking, Power Moon-roof is a nice feature. 6 Disc changer is great for long trips!

Reliable If Maintained

I bought my 2008 Escape with 90,000 miles on it, and drove it to just over 160,000 before being involved in an accident. At 100,000 miles, the engine seals needed to be replaced. The 5-Speed Automatic Transmission made it to 155k before needing completely rebuilt, but other than that, it was a very dependable vehicle to own. If you are looking to purchase one, ensure that the engine does not use oil (obviously a little is fine) and that the seats are leather as the base model comes with seats that are as hard as a rock! While you will sacrifice fuel economy, the AWD version (requires the V6 engine I believe) is worth the extra cost if you're traveling long distances through the brutal upper midwest winters.

My third Escape, I love them!!!

My first new car I bought was a Ford Escape, aftere a few years I traded up to a newer Escape. Just recently when looking for another used car, I knew I really liked the Escape and found a great deal on the style I like. I actually don't like the newer body style of the Escapes, and was able to find one that looked similar to my second one. I like the room inside for seating, as well as for storage. The back can hold a lot of stuff. Also, being 5'1", I like that I sit up and am able to see everything when I drive, as opposed to a car where I feel like I'm riding on the road. Have always had good luck with Escapes and will probably buy another.

Best vehicle I've ever owned

My Escape was hands down the best and most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. I bought it brand new, and had it for 10 years. I not once had an issue with it. I put 124000 miles on it and it still ran like it did when I drove it off the lot. I purchased it with many premium features, leather seats, additional cargo, roof racks, running boards, premium sound system, moonroof, etc. so it was comfortable and enjoyable. I took it in for regular oil changes and service, but I not once experienced any mechanical or other issues with this vehicle. I had no crazy expenses to fix anything. This vehicle is SOLID. I owned a 2004 escape that I bought brand new and was unfortunately in a accident where it flipped on the freeway. These vehicles are safe. Sturdy and safe. Hence why I bought another. The space inside is so roomy. I had moved my entire apartment ( in trips ) in that vehicle. So the utility of space is there. The only drawback that I had with this vehicle was how it performed in the rain. Sometimes freeway driving in heavy rain kinda gave me anxiety as it's traction was a bit eh. Even with the stability control on it still gripped that steering wheel. But overall, I loved it, went on great adventures, and had the best experience in vehicle ownership with my Escape.
