I needed an all wheel drive

I needed a car that drives well on snow when it’s slippery. The suv is excellent car for driving on slippery road. It is a great vehicle.

Just disappointed

103,000 miles and I need a transmission Bad deal I did not think I would need major repairs so fast . Was really looking forward to road trips this spring

Very well built and reliable

Stay on top of your maintenance and your Escape will last. Mine is rolling over 120,000 miles and it runs and smells like new. I've gone though 3 sets of tires, two brake jobs, 2 tune ups and all scheduled maintenance. BET car I've ever owned!

Great Features and Performance for This Class!

Mine is the Titanium Trim, with the 2.0 turbo and AWD. The styling is attractive, but can take some getting used to if you're more accustomed to boxier SUV styling. But you warm up to it easily, and it does have a somewhat sporty look. The 2.0 has more power than you'd expect, and is a blast! I've had no engine issues, and the 6 speed operates as expected and has also had no issues. The handling is great for this type of car! Feels stable and responsive and corners well. Acceleration is better than expected! Inside, the heated leather and power driver's seat with lumbar support is nice. I have no comfort complaints, being a pretty average sized guy, but larger passengers might say the seats seem narrow because of the bolstering. The pan sunroof is a nice touch, and the stereo (Sony 10 speaker with Navigation) sounds great for a factory system. Some complain about the reach to the touch screen, but it isn't a bother to me. My complaint is the fact that the lower left corner is obscured from the driver's point of view. Head and legroom is acceptable throughout. You get 8 cupholders, counting those in the doors. The rear seats recline, which is a great touch. Storage is limited, but clever, with the hidden compartment in the floor of the right rear seat, plus spacious door bins and a deep center console. The cargo area has some compartments under the floor as well. The glovebox isn't bad, and does have a shelf, but has limitations. As for little bonuses, the ambient lighting that can be set to different colors is a cool detail, as is the intelligent access and remote start. There's also 110 outlet in the back seat on the center console in Titanium trim (great for a laptop). The blue instrumentation and gauges are cool, too. Quiet cabin is a plus. The things I'd change? More storage or cubbies in the front would be nice, and if you have the 8" touchscreen, I don't know why a backup camera didn't just come with it. On top trim, why isn't the passenger seat power? And last, the rocker switch on the shifter for manual shifting. On the Titanium, this should have been paddles on the wheel!

My Wife's Car

The 2013 Escape will meet our needs and fit in our budget. The AWD will allow my wife to drive home safely in inclement weather. (We never had this feature before.)

So comfortable!

We have the SEL, and it has leather seats with heat. So comfortable, and so nice to have the heated seats in the winter! The back cargo space is huge, and the seats fold down. Love all the options! Just wish ours had a backup camera and navigation, but other than that, just love this vehicle. Just bought it Black Friday. It has the Sport option, so the shifting in lower gears in the Drive mode is more noticeable, but we were told that’s because there is a manual transmission built into the automatic transmission. Still not bad though! Great price!!!

Powerful and comfortable

We have loved this car. The power in the turbo boost is great for get up and go when needed. Comfortable on multiple road trips, including with back seat passengers. Cargo area is spacious for the car size. Have no complaints.

Beautiful Ruby red Met., Chr rims, panoramic roof

This is a roomy and well eqiipt SUV which with the 2.0 L ecoboost accelerates like a rocket and is extremely fun to drive, the main problem: my wife and I keep fighting over who will drive it.

Best in bad weather

We chose this car due to the safety features and it being 4WD. I love the seats. They are very comfy on longer rides. It heats up quick in the winter. Handles bad weather well. Drives smooth.
