2014 Ford Escape consumer reviews

This car met all of our needs. Lots of leg room, comfort and lots of usb ports as well. It has lots of storage as well. I loved my first Ford Escape and wanted to stay with the Ford Escape. Love the different color of Sunset (Orange).

It is not reliable. My transmission went out, turbo went out and my coolant sensor went out. My car is 5 years old. I am heading right now to a dealership to get a new car.

Had Recall 17S09, was held responsible for the damage it caused. Torn Head Gasket. Under 40,000 miles. Ford gave no suport, So I had to borrow from 401K and miss a lot of work and not to mention loss of sleep. Why have the Vehicle still???.Because getting it fixed was not cheap . This is not a Company I have faith in. I have papers to prove all of it...Ford installed a defected part in their 2014 Ford Escape and had the consumer be responsible for the cause. Yes not a good review and their Customer Service is very rude and wont let you talk to Supervisors they screen you Saying there is nothing the can do.

Radio goes to max volume on its own, almost gone off the road a couple of times. $3000 to replace exhaust tjat has factory under coating. Will definitely be my last ford, my son has already gone ro dodge......terrible and dangerous.

Overall very reliable I had typical things here and there but the dealerships always took care of me. Love the 14 Escape ! I would recommend to anyone !

Love the vehicle. It's a first for me but so far, I'm loving it!! Looking forward to continuing to love it!! Wish me luck Everyone!

Bought this used this year with under 40K miles - clean and thought it was a great deal, low miles and a complete service record right? Three months in and two months out of the 5 year powertrain warranty the engine light goes on and the ford mechanic says ‘needs a new tranny - $6000’. What??? Ford tells me to pound sand, its out of warranty and there are NO NOTES OF TRANSMISSION ISSUES ON THIS MODEL - a car with 40K miles and the tranny fails but you aren’t going to help at all? THEN I find all of the posts online about this model and the transmission issues. Ford knows about them but refuses to act. Do not buy this car - if you have one get rid of it, the tranny will fail.

This suv meets all of my needs and more! I absolutely love it! It has alot of features I did not expect! I would recommend this vechicle to anyone!

This car was in a major mistake and we were lied to. By the time we got home, 250 miles, we limped it into the driveway. Our mechanics said the repairs far exceeded the value of the car. So we are stuck. Our retirement money is just gone. So what can we do? $13,000 from our retirement account. Do NOT buy here.
