2014 Ford Escape consumer reviews

Traded a 2011 Escape in for my 2014. At the time, I kinda preferred the previous generation(2008-2012) boxy styling. Then after I drove one, and saw a few up close, in person, the 2013 to current(2019) styling was "sleeker". My SE had the 1.6L turbo four, which seemed powerful enough for my needs. Not as powerful as my 2011's 3.0L V6, but it got better fuel mileage 20.8mpg vs. 19.6mpg. My 2014 was in a color Ford called "Sunset". Most people thought it looked "red". Still I thought it was a nice color. Kind of like Burnt Amber found on the SD F250 thru F550 from 1999-2001. The 2014 Escape had a backup camera with sensors that beeped when you were close to an object. Nice feature. The interior got a redo in 2013MY, like the exterior. My 2014's interior seemed to have a nicer layout than my 2011. The 1.6L turbo engine was very reliable, and returned decent fuel mileage : 20.8. Drove very well in snow,too. Overall was happy with my 2014 Escape. Traded it in on another one in 2017.

I am so blessed coming from having no heat to this amazing vehicle is well worth the wait. The axle on my Jeep was separating as I was driving to the Dealership. God blessed me to get there safe. I did not have to drive the Jeep back home.

Perfect for my requirements. Plan to keep a long time. Great on road trips and around town. Have the 2L ecoboost, get ~ 29 mpg hwy, 22 city. Now have 105,000 miles, runs like new. Only 'repair' was to replace the vacuum pump (brakes). The battery is a PITA to replace.

This is mainly a car for me to drive to work .Very comfortable and fuel reliable like all of the features in the car and it rides very smooth Alan Thompson

Apart from getting it at a right price, the car is very roomy, economical and comfomtable for me and my kids. It also has good leg room.

It's one of the best cars I've owned. When I was single it was perfect but now my family is getting bigger. Just need something a little bigger for my kids and dog. Otherwise it would still be good perfect

I like the inside of the car. I feel so comfortable driving I feel comfortable sitting in it on my phone lol and I just got it but we’ll worth the money
