2015 Ford Escape consumer reviews

I love it just and gas and oil, new tires and brakes after 93,000 miles no problems. And the biggest thing is that i am 6 ft 3 and 350 pounds and i can fit in very well. There is more room in the Escape than the Explorer and a lot of room to hall stuff.

Perfect SUV. Safe comfortable, stylish, need, comfortable and five star safety rated. Great on gas averaging 30 miles per gallon of gas. Roomy and fast

This car is disappointing. Ford needs to recall the motor - mechanics have said ecoboost engine has major design issues and is the problem with car. Will never buy another Ford.

This is a fabulous car to have for anything. Not only is it spacious, but gets great gas mileage and has a great look to it. I always wonder if people look at my car and wish I had it since that is what I did before I had this car.

Fits great in garage -length-comfortable entering cabin - average mileage for 20000 mi was 31.8 . Back up screen kind of small. Have owned many Ford vehicles . Would rate this among top five .

I had a previous Escape but after an accident I needed a new car, I loved my Escape and bought the identical car only in blue...I really enjoy the quick, fun to drive Escape!

This car has all the bells and whistles on it. Heated leather seats will be a bonus with PA cold winters. Previously had an escape but this escape titanium seems more roomy.

I wanted a smaller SUV with AWD and a tow package. I wanted a car with Ford's reputation for reliability and service. My experience has been great in all areas. The reliability, performance comfort etc. is excellent. Gas mileage is average. I have the 2.0 EcoBoost engine. If maintaining 55-60mph it gets 34-36mpg. At 70-75mph it gets 28mpg. Around town it gets 22-25mpg. The only interior complaint I have is that there is very little storage space in the center console. The storage area is under the arm rest. It is deep, but inconvenient for storing and retrieving items. Passengers say the seats, leg room are comfortable. I have the 2.0 engine in the Titanium model and it really gets up and goes when needed. I have towed a 12 foot Uhaul trailer with no issues. I am very happy with the Ford Escape. I bought it as a Certified Preowned from the original dealership who had it on a 36 month lease until I purchased it. I have had no mechanical issues now with 68K miles on the car. Ford service at the Bill Collins dealership has been excellent.

Car has so many features we are still learning about them. Everything from self-starting to auto on/off variable speed wipers. The only minor irritation with the vehicle is the smaller gas tank as our previous one held about 5 gallons more.

I bought a 2015 SE AWD 2.0 Ecoboost Escape about six months ago from a Ford dealership with extended warranty and lifetime basic maintenance. It is fun to drive and the driver's position is probably the most ergonomic of any car I've ever driven. It has been in the snow/ice a couple times with no issues, it has navigated loose and uneven terrain without complaint, and the 2.0 liter Ecoboost gives it plenty of power and torque, while the decent fuel economy allows me to use it as a daily driver. The compact size on the outside and good turning radius makes it nimble on the trail without compromising the generous interior and storage compartment. Initially I wanted a truck, but am considering just getting a trailer because the tow capacity on this is 3500 lbs. and it is rare that I need any more than that. I downgraded the performance because the turbo lag means a slightly jerkier experience in rush-hour traffic. Besides that, the lag is barely noticeable when accelerating from a red light. I downgraded the reliability for two reasons. 1 - the battery that came with the (remember it's used) vehicle was already beginning to fail when I got it, and it is not the most user friendly of batteries to get to for a jump. 2 - the spare tire compartment does not allow a full size tire. On the plus side, the donut that comes with it is more robust than a typical one. The one time I popped a tire with about 30 miles of dirt behind me, I was able to get out without further mishap on the smaller spare.
