Ecellent car well worth the money
This is a most excellent car with all the options and features. On/off feature to save fuel is probably unnecessary and we have disabled even though it may save a little fuel at red lights. Remote start is incredible in wintertime since we don?t have a garage.

Best SUV For The $$
Shopped the mid size SUV market (Escape, Cherokee, etc) after turning in a 2016 Cherokee Limited on a 24 mo lease. Actually thought about buying the newer (2019) redesigned front end Cherokee but I couldn't get the dealers below $30,000 delivered. I visited a local Ford dealership and ended up driving away in a leftover brand new 2017 Escape Titanium AWD, loaded, for $25K, that sticker'd for $36,000. Having had the two SUVs to compare, I'd say there's pluses (and minuses) in each: The Escape wins in terms of city/stop light performance as the 2.0 Ecoboost really has a lot of low end torque, although the Jeep's 3.2 V6 was no slouch. Visibility is also a bit better in the Escape. Personally, I loved the 9spd AT in the Jeep despite the critics, and appreciated the downshifting process using the lever, which the Ford does not provide. Gas mileage was better in the Jeep, ironically (about 22mpg city compared to around 20 in the Ford). The Ford's power rear tailgate is also very handy, as is the foot sensor to open (when your arms are full). I liked the fact the Escape offers 19" wheels/tires (the Jeep's largest are 18's). Finally, the Escape just seems to be built "better" than the Cherokee--fit and finish, heavier doors, etc. Frankly, if the Cherokee's comparable trim (Limited) came close in price to the Titanium I would have had a tougher decision to make.

first time with escape
I really enjoy my new ford escape, it handles so nicely and quite comfortable for a suv. It has great pick up and go for a 4 banger. I only with the gas mileage was alittle better

Happy Drivers
This car is so roomy! My husband is a tall man with bad knees and it's so easy for him to get in and out of and very comfortable. We looked at many vehicles before choosing this one and truly believe we got the best deal in town!

It's a car, not an SUV. Good, not great.
I've had this for a couple of years now. Overall a decent car. But don't be fooled, it's not an SUV. Some of the good: It's small and zippy with the eco-boost engine. It has decent cargo space considering its small size. The powered tailgate is an awesome feature and almost makes the car worth owning. Some of the bad: The fuel tank is small and I feel like I have to refuel more often than I should. The interface for radio, bluetooth, etc is very annoying. You can only scroll through presets in one direction (why??) and can't scroll to different sources from the wheel buttons. You can't turn off the interior lights--they stay on until the car decides to turn them off. Why?? What if I want them off when I open the door--nope, they turn on and stay on. Stupid feature. The car key doesn't fold like 99% of other manufacturers. What is this, 1987? Give me a folding car key! The lighting in the cargo area is very poor. The seat heating button is too close to the a/c buttons making accidental pressing frequent and annoying. The windshield water sprayers broke after about a year. The start/stop feature doesn't noticeably improve MPG. Overall this car is decent but has a lot of small flaws that I find annoying and foolish--poor planning by the designers. I would never pay my own money to buy this car but since my company provides it for me I am willing to put up with the flaws. Otherwise I would probably buy a Subaru.
