My Ford Escape.
I bought mine used with 17,000 miles for $17,000, and it's a 2017. I guess 17 was the lucky number lol. My Escape drives well, feels very comfortable, and is pretty good on gas (average 4 banger gas milage ) beats any 6 or 8 cylinder. I have the base model , so the engine isn't the fastest, but I'm not racing anyone ever. I never feel underpowered, or unsafe on highways. This little truck holds own in any senerio. I'm not sure why people are giving negative reviews maybe competitors trying to sell their brands🤔 . This is a good suv , and it looks great. I would buy it again, it keeps me warm and safe in Chicago winters. Cranks everytime I turn the key even in sub zero temps. I remember Chicago being the coldest place on the planet for 24 hours a couple of years ago. I worked that night I believe it was -50 or close with the wind chill. I worked that night as a nurse , my escape ran like a trooper. If a vehicle runs in Chicago winters .....it's a tank and passes my test hands down. My 2011 BMW x 3 ummmm.....failed as a winter vehicle. It costed twice as much BEFORE THE "CHIP SHORTAGE" PRICES . Need I say more ????

Horrible buy. Problems with everything!!
I’ve had my ford for 3 years. I’ve replaced the engine, torque converter, and the control arm. I now have to replace the rear cv axel, transmission is going out. Plus the recall on the transmission bushing. By far the worst vehicle I’ve ever had! Do not buy it unless you want to rebuild a new car!!

Pretty good SUV for the money
Bought a 2017 SE as second owner in 2020 with about 32k miles and put nearly 50k flawless miles on it until I recently sold it. Never had an issue with it, great gas mileage (26.0) for a small SUV that saw more city miles than highway. Only work it needed was rear brake pads at about 55k miles. One drawback to it was the comfort level on long trips- it was not designed well to spend more than a couple hours behind the wheel at a time.

DON'T BUY THIS SUV
Bought this car in Sept 2016 and have nothing but problems. Culminating in the engine blowing up which is a known issue and neither the NHTSA nor Ford have done a recall. Sirius XM antenaa had to be replaced 2 weeks after I bough, the protection plate underneath fell off 3 times, transmission went out at barely 60,000 miles and had to be rebuilt and now at $100,000 miles my engine blew because the engine coolant leaks into the engine causing the head gaskets to blow. The engine coolant leak is a known issue. I have researched online and there are hundreds of other 2017 Ford Escape owners with the same issue. Some were even driving when it happened. People could have been killed and NHTSA nor Ford have issued a recall. UNACCEPTABLE!!! My family have been loyal Ford owners since the 50s. My father an son were Ford salesman. My first car was a Ford and have owned one ever since the 80s. I am so angry. If you have this car and you've had the same issues, please notify the NHTSA. The more people that lodge complaints, the better for all and get this xxx off the road. Lives could be saved. The dealership is currently pending a response to what Ford will do to rectify the situation. I refuse to pay full price to have a new engine put in on a vehicle that has a known issue. Ford must be held accountable. DON'T BUY THIS SUV.

Issues in a 2017 titanium bad xxx Don’t buy!
I have 91k miles on this suv and two months past 5 year mark and me paying for extended warranty was worthless and a waste of money to have it covered to 100k ford has this xxx suv over priced for titanium models and not willing to work with you after due date even being under mileage, less then 100k mile had to drop in new transmission and this suv has never pulled any Trailor at all, that was 4,500 usd to a local transmission shop for new transmission. I also at 42k miles had to replace a hose that went to back side of motor to the front was dry rotted and falling apart, now at 96k miles I have to figure out this evap code P2418 from my innova scanner, all in general this is the nicest xxx I have ever owned, ford has gone down on quality!

Stay Away, worst car I have owned in 56 years.
I bought the car new, after ~4450 miles it required a new engine due to coolant loss caused by a cracked block. New engine has ~5500 miles on it ~9980 miles total on the car. New engine after 5000 miles bellows out black smoke on rapid acceleration merging onto highways and interstates. Engine service light comes on for 30 secs to a couple of minutes and so far has gone out again. Only showed engine codes on one occasion P0302 and P0304. A total of six events between May and August 2022. Some additional coolant loss but a very small amount. I would not buy another Escape and probably not another Ford. The dealership has been next to useless in trying to fix this issue.
