Do not buy with this engineering flaw

My Ford dealership loaned me this new car when my car was in the shop. The car is nice enough, but it is a danger waiting to happen. The parking brake switches from off to on with little more than gentle touch , lifting it like using a switch to control the windows going up and down,. The biggest issue I have with it is the location, which is in the middle between the drivers seat and the passenger's seat, accessible to the passenger. On this day, my fourteen year old special needs daughter activated the brake while I was driving the car. Thank goodness I wasn't driving fast, or on the highway, as it could have caused a major accident or taken someone's life. This is not safe if it is located in a place where the passenger is ever able to access it. I would highly recommend caution in buying it for this reason.

MPG is too low

My 2014 Escape got 20 MPG in the city. This 2017 is only getting 17 MPG. Per survey of 2,800 owners only 59 were getting 17 MPG.

Love it!

I wanted a flex but ended up with a brand new 2017 escape.. it has been great!! We have one child who was rearfacing in a britax advocate and it fit perfectly we just flipped her car seat to forward facing and still a great fit. When riding in the car it feels like you are sitting higher then you actually are. It has a good amount of cargo room a full load of groceries and a stroller fit quite nicely. It gets great gas mileage for it's class and has decent leg room

The move has been terrific.

I just leased a 2017 White Gold Escape. Prior to this I leased three Fusions. (Ford Credit is great.) Those were all trouble free and each successive unit showed improved MPGs. I almost went with an Escape last time but am glad I waited. I like the updated grille and center console. Way more functional inside and better looking too. Mine has the Tech pkg which includes LED headlights/DRLs, Cross traffic alert, Start/Stop plus Sync Connect. Also has the Winter Pkg. I've given up 1 1/2 MPGs but the high seating position with heated seats and the handling is worth the trade-off. My only complaint? I miss my leather steering wheel. That's it. Great CUV for the money.

2017 awd 2.0 ecoboost LOT OF POWER!

We needed an awd to replace our Subaru which was an ok car but had several engine issues in the 3 years we had it. This Ford really is nicer in just about everyway. I dont know about resale down the road. People wanted our Subaru even with its problems. COOL with me! Love this Escape. Way more comfort, power and about the same gas mileage which Honestly isnt great, was hoping for more. We get about 22. Thought about the zhonda CR-V just because of mileage but other blogs say their AWD only gets 22 as well. Other than that its a fantastic car. I really like the refreshened sheet metal up front and the fact it tows 3500 lbs.

Performance Ford Randolph--Excellent Experience

Best ever car buying experience!" Our experience of buying a car has never been so smooth and enjoyable. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to place you in the vehicle that is fit to meet your needs and wants. Mary, Greg, Harrison, Joe, and Matt worked together as a team to adjust to our wants. We want to add how the Staff complimented how hard the detailing employees work, and we agree--thats a full team organization. Never did we feel pressured or disappointed. We would like to acknowledge an employee (we don't know his name) he was wearing an army jacket and we believe was responsible for moving cars, charging batteries, etc. He was never at rest. We would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle at this customer driven dealership. To management, we hope you take good care of this hard-working, devoted staff. Happy New Year! Sincerely, Keith Ahlers & Dawn Day-Ahlers.
