2000 Ford F-150 consumer reviews

I drove this truck for almost 18 years. I sold it with 202,000 miles on it, and the most serious work that was ever done on it was an exhaust leak at the head. I replaced an alternator, and a couple of misc small things that were expected but that?s it. Highly recommended.

I owned the 2000F150 for 13 years and honestly had almost no issues with it at all. I kept up the routine maintenance and it ran perfect. Also the most comfortable vehicle I've ever owned. Very thick cloth bucket seating was more comfortable than my couch. I had a V6 manual transmission that was a lot of fun to drive and had very adequate power to get up to speeed on highways. I used my truck for hauling all kinds of things so I could be a do it yourselfer on the weekends. The truck was 2 wheel drive so it was not good where extra traction is needed but that's normal for trucks.

Very good condition and made for my needs. As a 1st Responder it provides me with ample room for my gear and tools. The 4w drive will be an asset in inclement weather as well.

It is very dependable, but just recently some problems started arising. After 17 years I had to put a new fuel pump on it. Very good truck. Rides smoothly.

I bought this F150 XLT 5.4L new in 2000 for $28K. Added a Procharger in 2002. Used truck on and off road for farming. The only major repairs were to replaced ball joints, in tank fuel pump, and valve cover gaskets after the truck was 15 years old. Now in 2017 at 165,000 miles the engine has the same power and response as it had in 2002.

I bought it new 17 years ago and have never had a problem. Always reliable, never a problem, always capable of doing what it needs to do as a truck.

This truck is the best vehicle I've ever owned. Although I'm sure regular maintenance has helped, this truck has never had any problems. Always dependable, it's towed our motorcycles over the Sierra countless times, hauled everything from firewood to flooring and has always delivered. The V6 has enough oomph for a 1/2 ton truck and the manual transmission helps to get the most out of it while maximizing the MPGs. This is Truck truck.
