2006 Ford F-150 consumer reviews

316,000 miles on the original drivetrain. It consumes no oil. I bought it at 35,000 miles and I immediately drained all fluids(oil, trans, front diff, rear diff, transfer case, rack, coolant, and brake) and refilled everything with synthetics. I changed the spark plugs too because I had heard they had a problem of breaking in half and dropping into the cylinders.Change fluids regularly. The only thing I have had to replace is a fuel pump and I had an injector stick open once when I had driven it about 150,000 miles. Changed all the injectors and it’s been going ever since.

Most reliable vehicle I have had. Only major things I have had to replace are the transmission and an alternator, I have 209,000 miles on it and it still runs great

The f150 has always been the workhorse of our 4 vehicle fleet for over 15 years-strong engine seats 5 comfortably.We always utilize the longbed which is hard to find with Ford but well worth the wait while shopping. Electric windows and cruise plus the half rear doors make it a step above most work trucks.I always put caps on mine with ladder racks which takes away the rear view mirror but we get sliding rear window for ventilation plus seperate rear window controls.HVAC always strong in F150s .My only complaint would be the triton v8 should be more fuel efficient but id take it over a hemi any day

Truck runs well shifts smoothly. Body in all dinged up probably a hail damage car. but did nor pay a lot for it. A few pieces missing and some damaged but no major parts. Interior could have been a bit cleaner but this is just a work truck for me anyway.

great truck for towing rides great with load a little rigid when empty. would not own any other truck than a F150. Very dependable and safe. Would not exceed 70000 miles for first tune up.

I've owned the truck for 7 years. It has been a reliable vehicle the entire time give owned it. My only complaint would be gas mileage, around 12-13 mpg in town. I would not hesitate to buy another.

I just purchaed the F150 2006 King Ranch to replace a smaller, but wonderful 4x4 truck. Value is everything for me and this truck is well depreciated but runs like a 3 year old truck not a 12 year old truck. I love it. The leather is worn and needs treatment, but we'll get to that next week. fully expect to get much of its old luster back. The truck is clearly a power house and the ride is smooth. there are some small repairs that have already surfaced, but these are nickel and dime stuff that you would not consider replacing until they actually break such as plastic bushing to fix the drive shift cable ($5). I expect more of these to surface but to be easily repaired. I expect to use this to transport family, commute and out at the ranch. I love this thing.

The truck is perfect for transporting furniture for our furniture repair company, Plenty of room and the vehicle looked brand new! It is easy to drive, comfortable and great looking too!

The truck meets our needs and fit our budget. Big enough to haul the family & dogs and our gear for out of town soccer games.

Fantanstic smooth ride. Runs sound and has Awesome interior with all the features I guy could want in a 1/2 ton work and play truck.
