We love it

It's the best truck for the money. Great on highway. I would defiantly buy this again. The heated and cooled leather seats are great. It gets about 18 mpg on highway and has plenty of power

Best gas mileage truck I've owned.

Runs like a scaled dog and still gets great gas mileage. I can't believe the performance of the Ecoboost engine.

F150 Ecoboost

the ride comfort and egronomics of the F150 i believe are second to none, the power running boards of the Platinum edition are very nice as they come out far enough you do not have to use just your heel on exit and you are firmly planted on them The torque from the Ecoboost is like that of a diesel and combined with the 6 speed auto and the 3.31 axle ratio is is whisper quiet at 80 mph and will still give about 19.8 mpg over a 1700 mile run. Great truck all around

Everything looks good so far.

Purchased new 2012 Ford F-150 off the lot a month ago. It's a 4x4 SuperCab model with the 5.0 liter engine. Am pleased with most aspects of this rig so far, but with only 700 miles on the odometer it's a bit early to render a meaningful judgement. Mileage thus far is about 17.5 mpg, with mix of 50%city/50%highway. Interior seems the best put-together of all the full sized pickups I test-drove. Seats are very comfortable. Shifting is smooth and road and engine noise is minimal. I like the large (36 gallon) fuel tank--an option not even available on competing brands of full-sized pickups. Only downside is the way it handles in rear wheel drive mode on icy roads--not nearly as stable as Suburbans (which I've driven almost exclusively over the past 20 years).

Turned me into a Ford Guy

I have owned my 2012 F-150 XLT Supercab 3.7 V6 for about 6 weeks now,and have about 3000KMs (1800 miles) opn it and l must say l love the truck and everything about it. It rides great, very comfortable, the truck looks great. Very high quality truck. The 3.7 has ample power for what l bought it for. I drive it pretty easy, and l get 16 mpg (U.S. gallon) if its all city stop and go, and between 20-21 with about 75% highway (65-70MPH) and the rest city (30-35MPH driving). I have no doubt that if l did all highway l would get in the 22 - 23 range. Not bad for driving a brick down the road, while being able to actually being able to carry sometthing in the back if l had to, which l do on occassion. I have been a GM guy all my life, but this truck changed all that. This is an incredible truck. No wonder they are selling so many of them.

Ford Eco-boost engine seems like a winner!

My truck --New 2012 F150 4x4 crew cab with 6.5' bed. Drove first 800 miles in mixed city/highway -- 18.4 MPG. Added an ARE MX canopy (extends height about 4" over cab height), loaded the truck up with moderately heavy load (moving from Seattle to Phoenix) and drove 1600 miles through all weather conditions and a fair amount of winding, mountainous, terrain. Mileage was 21.6 MPG. Only have 2500 miles on truck, so mileage should improve slightly by around 7000 miles. The eco-boost twin turbo has unbelievable low-end torque, so it should be good for towing as well as pretty impressive mileage. Truck is still new, so we'll have to see how things are with the turbo after 150,000 miles. So far, I'm really impressed!! Other things -- Ford Sync is very nice (it can do way more than I've yet figured out, but on the road you just plug in your iPod or phone and go!), and overall driver comfort is very good (I put in several 10 hour driving days on my trip -- and for being 68, still felt great). Yes, there are several really good trucks out there, but for me, this package looks like it's going to be ideal.

LOW MPG and Tranny Issues

I have a 2012 3.7L SuperCrew, I am getting 16mpg, I have a friend that bought same time with v8 he gets 18mpg. The transmission has issues, but the Dealer says its my imagination. I suppose I will have to steer clear of FORD for now on, they have went downhill since I was a teenager!

great truck

hands down best truck made today... eco boost is a great engine no lag like some turbo's. great gas mileage avg 19 mpg right now.. city driving havent had a chance to take it out on the hwy yet to see but could easily see 23-25 mpg on the open road. has tons of power, you would think there is a big block V-8 under the hood. comfort is out of this world. crew cab has tons of room able to fit 6 grown adults no problem. hands down the best truck ive owned to date. totally worth the money.
