Not worth the trouble
I loved the car at first but after about a year of owning the 2011 version things just fell apart. The flaps on the door came off and I had to glue back on. The AC went out when I was at 39,000 miles which is 3,000 over the warranty. A car that has AC break at the 3 year mark shows that it's all the little things that are breaking. It still gets from A to B.

Do NOT Purchase
I bought a Ford Fiesta roughly two months ago. At first I was thrilled with my new purchase, however a couple days after I got it I noticed a metallic noise. It sounded as if something was about to fall out of the car. I took it in and was told that all Ford Fiestas sound like this due to the way their transmission was built. Once you notice this noise you will NEVER be able to unhear it again. I constantly have my music turned up because every time I accelerate or slow down the noise of the gears sliding into place is heard. It's even worse once the transmission/ engine has heated up. My car was purchased brand new I dont not want to constantly be paranoid that something is wrong. I love everything else about the car, but I cannot get past the noise. Due to this I am trading my car into tomorrow with less 2,000 miles.

Beware!!
My 2013 Ford Fiesta is a terrible car!! I started my lease back in October 2012 and I've had nothing but problems. 1. Trouble with my radio, and syncing with my phone/iPod. Had repaired once, now its happening again. 2. Burning smell since day 1. I was told that its a new car, so I just need to drive to burn it out of the engine. Still have smell 9 months later. Its a burnt rubber smell. 3. Terrible gas mileage. I drive 20 miles and use 1/4 tank of gas. I now work closer to home and still fill my car 2 x a week. 4. Malfunction light came on. As I change gears the car hesitates and is more sluggish and than usual for about 1-2 seconds then will pick up some speed. My dealership in not so many words told me "its all in your head". I also called Ford and they got involved, but were not helpful!! I've had it with this car. I just wish I could have my old reliable car back. This was the WORSE investment ever!! Please beware and stay away!!

Disappointed in Fiesta
When my beloved 2001 Ford Focus was totaled in an accident, I went back to same dealership and purchased a 2013 Ford Fiesta. I picked the car up May 10. On May 14 I brought the car back--transmission was wonky, lurching and loud. "There is something definately wrong..." per the service manager. But this is not unusual for this transmission, which has been shared by Focus and Fiesta for the past couple of years. They've had so many problems the parts are back ordered. The auto tranny which I purchased is based on the manual transmission, you can feel and hear the gears moving and they have had complaints, complaints, complaints. They replaced my clutch drum after a week, but another customer with an older Focus/Fiesta will have to wait because I got their clutch drum. I brought it in again June 19--same problem and drove with the tech, who said "It drives louder than I've ever heard." The field service manager drove the car, after a week in the shop, and he claims it drives as it was "designed. " The service guys have told me this field rep spends his days driving Focuses and Fiestas with this automatic transmission. I am now looking to hire someone to drive the car and evaluate. The service guys told me they never seen the transmission break down so early. On a positive note, the exterior and interior design is wonderful, the steering smooth, visibility great.

From lot to trouble
I bought a 2013 Ford Fiesta... From the day I picked it up there were problems with the sync for the phone. I felt it was no big deal and they would fix it. I bought it May 9th and it has been in the shop more than I have had it. No one seems to be able to fix it and I have tried really hard to be understanding. Now unable to fix it I have asked for a different car. Because it does qualify for the Lemon Law. Ford will not work with me on it. They keep wanting to fix it when no one seems to be able too. I also notice that when taking off the transmission seem loose to me. Specially for a new car. Other than that I liked my car. I feel the price was a bit high for the quality. And I am hurt that ford will not work with me. I feel I bought a brand new car... It should not be in the shop already and specially more than I have had it. :(

Do not buy this car!!!!
We have had this car since new and owned it for 21 months. It was a great car until this last week. At 88,000 klm it blew the serpentine belt. You cannot replace it yourself the dealer has to do it. Cost over $200.00 to fix. We drove 5 klm away from the dealership and the car died.We had it diagnosed at a gm dealer because Ford was a bunch of jerks over the belt issue. The timing belt went and took out the whole engine with it. We have some friends who had 70k on their car identical to ours and the belt went on their as well. We loved this care up until this point. Its does have great fuel mileage and such. We are trading it in tomorrow as we don't know what to expect next and the warranty is up at 100,000 km. Very very disappointed!!!!

Showroom to vacation same week
My wife and I downsized from our Honda CRV in able to save some money on fuel costs. We had an extensive trip planned with stops in PA,TN,GA,SC, and FL over the course of several weeks. We are currently in Florida and have logged over 2500 miles so far. The Fiesta SE is performing well on the highway at speeds up to 85 MPH. It cruises for hours at 70 0r 75 with never a hitch. There is some noticeable surging during downpours and when doing steep grades. Gas mileage has steadily improved from 33mph to 37.3 mph.

Love it
My wife and I had all of a sudden ran into a lot of car troubles so we decided to go car shopping. We went around to all the used dealerships and didn't see anything that was worth writing home about. We then stopped at our local ford dealership Skyline Ford in salem, Or. We were quickly helped by Dan Waldron and he was a great help. Of course we spotted the Fiesta first and loved the look of it. So we started asking questions and he was right on them. After taking it for a test drive we knew this was the car for us. It handles great and has a lot of zip for such a small car. Not to mention it gets 40mpg. We needed a change and something reliable. We haven't had it very long but we can already tell it's going to save us a lot of gas money in the end. We got the SE model so it didn't come with some of the cool bells and whistles but it came with enough features that we were sold. So far we love it and if something goes majorly wrong with it I will be more then happy to get back on here and tell you how much it sucks.

Drive train problems
I bought the car brand new and there are problems with the drive train. It grinds and looses power under load. I wish I would have researched the vehicle more before buying this model. It is currently in the dealers shop being looked at.

Happy Happy Happy!I
I'm delighted with my new Fiesta having arrived at this purchase after an extensive search which began with a Hyundai Accent and included Honda FIT, Toyota Yaris and Nissan comparables. My challenge was finding a hatchback manual transmission in a color I liked. Getting the Hyundai I wanted proved impossible even though it's offered on their website, Nissan had nothing that interested me except the Juke which was out of my price range, the Yaris doesn't have power windows and is rather bare boned. Enter the Ford Fiesta with so many great features that it edged out the Honda FIT. I feel like I'm in a luxury car. I had absolutely no trouble getting what I wanted as far as color and manual transmission. It's the first time I've bought American having owned VW, Toyota and Honda and I couldn't be happier. Since I've only had the car a few weeks I have no idea about reliability, but it reliably provides a great ride with plenty of zip and handles great with all city driving. Oh, yes, there's also good mileage. What's not to like?
