2013 Fiesta; LEMON car

My wife financed a 2013 ford fiesta that in within 6 months of driving it had been sent back twice to the dealership because of engine trouble. The engine would rattle like it would break down. The dealership said they can not do anything about it because it is a manufacturer's defect and they kept the car for day's without even guaratee of when they can fix the problem. My poor wife who is just making a minimum wage and thought of buying a brand new car would not cause any headache turned out to have bought a real headache. I hope they should fix this problem first before advertising this vehicle because it's not fair for any consumer!

Never Buy this Car

Worst investment ever. This was bought new and it is only a year old. Everything is falling apart on this car. Transmission is slipping, and noisy. The car sounds like its falling apart as you drive it. Its a very scary car once you get over 100,000 miles. The Blue Book Value dropped from $20,000 to 6,000 in ONE YEAR. Cheapest car Ive ever driven. It seems like everything on it is glued together.

Exceptional Gas Mileage

Drove home over five hours from dealership and averaged 44 MPG with the 5 speed manual. Lowest priced entry level car I could find anywhere and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of tech features such as SYNC hands free bluetooth and nice displays on the Mp3 player. Average road noise and seating comfort on long trip is average for a sub compact car. Trunk space is very exceptional in sixe and space and fold down seats in rear are a plus for cargo. Non-boxy styling appeal and overall one of the most value packed cars for the price I have purchased since my last Kia and Suzuki.

Trouble from first week

With only 140 miles on the car the engine light came on. After 3 weeks in the shop the result was a new engine. Now at 450 miles the transmission is making rubbing noises when shifting like a manual when its an automatic. Looks like another trip to the shop. I don't think I will ever trust this car.

Despite Transmission noise, still a nice car.

I really like my 2013 Ford Fiesta. It gets great gas mileage and is fairly comfortable. The only thing I don't like Is the NOISY TRANSMISSION. After taking delivery of my new car I noticed a loud clanking and grinding when the transmission was downshifting and when pulling away from a stop. I literally thought my new car was falling apart. When I confronted the dealership about it, after getting the runaround, the service guy showed me a memo from Ford Motor Company stating that the noise I was hearing was normal for the so called automatic six speed "Green Transmission". I asked him if he would want to drive a car that made this much noise. He just put his head down and said "well no." I find it so sad that Ford Motor Company and their dealerships can not be upfront about the TRANSMISSION NOISE with the consumer BEFORE a purchase. So, if you can deal with the TRANSMISSION NOISE this is a nice little car to own.

Disappointed Business Person

I bought a 2013 Ford Fiesta in March 2013. I drive many miles for business and wanted an economical and dependable car. It had a good rating in Consumer Reports. I have 12,000 miles on the car. It started bucking and rattling when I started from a stop. Brought it to the dealer who said there is a problem with the clutch system They gave me a rental and said it would be a week to fix. Reading these reviews and doing research I am worried. I love the car and it is funt to drive. My concern is "Will it every be right?"

So far so good!

I bought a '13 Fiesta S with the 6speed automatic and convenience group. Compared to all the other cars in it's class that I drove, it deserves 5 stars. It has the most pep, handles best, comfortable and roomy. The 6 speed auto in this car is smooth as butter. Driving position is good, outward visibility is good and I got 43 MPG on my first tank of gas. 80% highway driving. Too soon to evaluate reliability, so I gave it a 3 for that. I don't expect it to perform, handle or be as comfortable as my '14 Mustang V6 Premium, but for running errands, and my daily (short) commute, it more than fits it's purpose. I would recommend it. Radio controls take some getting used to.

Fiesta 2013, great car

Owned car 2 months, 4000 miles. Great car, easy to drive, comfortable, GREAT gas mileage, always 37mpg, 43 on interstate, and this is going 75-80MPH. Put a kayak in the trunk the other day, although most was hanging out, it still fit. Took entire family of 4 on a 300 mile trip, no problems. Great buy at Baxter Ford in Omaha, 15K for SE. Transmission takes a bit to get used to. Sounds like it's grinding to find the gear. I drive it easy in city, especially from stops, romping on it makes transmission get confused.

I love this little car!! Pretty good pick up with a smooth ride. I'm so glad I got it!!! Good gas mileage and super comfprtable. My only negative the dashboard layout. But I'm sure I'll get used to it.
