2010 Ford Focus consumer reviews

I owned this car for about 7 years. It was owned by someone else before me. The car never had any major issues. Great starter car or city car.

I’m such a huge fan of this car, it was so budget friendly. This was the first car I’ve ever purchased and it was used at 118,000 miles. I drove it all the way till it was 190,000 until I was in a motor collision. During the two years I’ve owned it, it never broke down, no major maintenance or service was done other than basic oil changes and I had to replace a vacuum hose which was only a $10 fix. I’m highly likely of purchasing another of the same color, trim, and year. I treated that car so bad on how tough I treated it, but it never let me down. RIP Steve (my Focus’s name)

Was a great car and really reliable, wouldn’t have traded it for anything at all. Just have to get rid of it because I need to have a pickup truck for the job I have

Currently has over 300,000 Kms and aside for having to purchase a new battery for it after 8 years, I have just changed oil amd put fuel in it. It has endured 110 degrees in summer & - 40 in the winter. Still starts first time, every time. EXCELLENT CAR! Good going FORD!

I love my Focus; bought it new. It gets great gas mileage and has plenty of pep (stick shift). I have about 180,000 miles on it and have just had normal maintenance done on it. But, I'm seeing a lot of rust on it and am not happy with that. It seems to be an all around problem with Fords--so I will not buy another Ford again. Going to look at Honda's instead.

on 1st turn of key it will not start.. do 2-3 times, then starts. sometimes the heater blower does not work- hit a bump then it works. this not good for up north weather. gets good milage though! think a recall should be done for that ignition problem though!

This car is very dependable and I trusted it for my son to drive to school. Well maintained. Has great big trunk with rear folding seats. Lots of leg room.

I believe after hearing hundreds if complaints with the ignition problems, I believe a recall should be done and Ford should fix this problem! People have put hundreds into fixing this and it keeps happening. They are going to have future problems if the newer Fords are doing this too. It's a huge problem.

it is comfortable and gets us around locally,it's pretty good on gas , the heater works good !we both like it not much more to say

When considering what this car is, a cheap, fuel efficient, daily driver, the Focus absolutely fits the bill and doesn't make you think it's any more than it is. It's safe, sturdy, slow, and extremely reliable. Sure it'd be great if it were faster but then it wouldn't be what it is. Perfect car for a teenager as a first car or just for a cheap run-around grocery getter.
