2014 Ford Focus consumer reviews

Ford and the transmission are a joke. Had it in 4 times within 10 months. They have replaced things in transmission updated programs, still clangs, shudders, and grinds and many times it doesn't know how to shift, so it does both up then down repeatedly. So sick of it. Will NEVER own another Ford again

I LOVED my Ford Focus SE so much! It was sexy, stylish, reliable, affordable, roomy, powerful. It's cheap on gas, and easy to drive. it's a perfect car for a young, working individual who wants something sexy to drive!

This car was nice at first. After having it 11 months (brand new), it was in the shop for the horrible dual clutch issue. The car felt unsafe when I experienced these issues. Then, a year later it needed to be replaced again. I got rid of it before it needed to be replaced a 3rd time. Never again.

I love cars performance, comfort and style. The gas mileage is above my expectations. The only thing I really dislike about the car are the way the doors are designed. Where the outside skin wraps under and should be welded or sealed is not. Water will collect and cause the doors to rust. Very very disappointed and Ford would not fix it

Great car, amazing gas milage, and comfortable interior. Great for teenagers. I get about 45 mpg on the highway. Ive had mine for 3 years and its not had any running problems yet, even when i go 4500 miles over on the oil change!

Transmission problems, Transmission keeps giving me a hard time it doesn't shift as smooth as older focuses made from 2008 till 2012

Very reliable. Great gas miles for the highway commute. It is also a very comfortable ride. Also very sporty looking.

I own the Ford Focus 2014 electric. It's a good commuter car but the back seats are tight and not comfortable for more than a 1 hr trip. There have been 2 recalls since 2014 : 1) transmission issue 2)doors had to be replaced I have had SIX incidents of the windshield padding on the right hand side of the window coming off. This is poor design and quality. I won't buy another Ford again.

This was the first car I have ever bought and I used it as a vehicle to get me to and from college. The Focus is not an extraordinarily large car but it will certainly hold you and all your luggage or friends. I personally am 6'4" and still was capable of having a comfortable fit all while being able to park in those compact spots. The trunk is deceptively large and the drive is smooth. Being an i4 engine I was not expecting much but she can get up and go as much as the next car, and is an exceptional car for those looking for an easy commute or even go light on gas. 10/10 recommend to friends.

I absolutely hate it. this car has been nothing but a problem for me ever since I leased it. I am extremely scared every time I get into my car. and there have been times where messages such as "high voltage engine stop safely" pop up on frequently. My transmission is extremely messed up and jumps every time I press the gas and on top of that my car has the hit 7RPM before it even starts to speed up. And than just blurs forward. I will never buy another ford again in my life.
