Ford Focus Titanium Hatchback

I own a Ford Focus Titanium Hatchback, fully loaded, and sporty. I love the handling of this vehicle. It's small, compact and comfortable.

Most UNRELIABLE car I've Owned - No Lie

This car as been into to the dealership a number of times. I bought it new but has problems with the transmission within the first year. Ford choses to rewrite the definition of normal for the quasi "manual type" transmission to include grinding, rattling, and hesitation into definition. The clutch has been replaced twice and the car has been reprogrammed more times than I can remember. Now the only option is to sell it to some other poor smuck. As much as I want to be rid of it, I also want to pass the message along. This car is nothing but trouble.

Worst car transmission I've ever encountered

I absolutely do not recommend the 2014 Ford Focus with an automatic transmission. As many other reviews have stated, the car will "shudder" and buck when driving from a stop or at low speeds. The worst part is that Ford designed the transmission this way and they claim it's functioning as intended. The best advice they have is to accelerate faster from a stop. This is completely contradictory to the purpose of a compact car: good fuel economy. Accelerating faster will cause the car to use more gas and cost you more money. It's just a dumb transmission design and a poor way for Ford to react to the issue. I have not driven the manual transmission version. It might be an okay car.

Not worth what I paid for.

I was super excited when I first got the car. After a while of ownership I realized that it was a mistake. The car sucks in the snow. It's horrible when snow is a little high. I can't even turn off the traction control when it's getting stuck.

Not a fan of the Dual-Clutch Auto Transmission

Almost at the end of my 3 year lease with this car. I got the SE Hatchback equipped with the Power-Shift Dual Clutch Automatic Transmission. I like the Sync System because it's fast to pair my phone and it's easy to use and no lagging with the updates it got. Seats have good comfort for the class. However I would not keep this car due to the transmission shifting and hesitating worse and worse. It has stalled on me twice and car gets louder and louder inside as the miles go on. So when I turn this car in I'll Get The Fusion or the Escape that uses a traditional Automatic Transmission.

White lemon

This has been a terrible car. Started jerking and making grinding noises five blocks from dealership minutes after I bought it. Ford and dealership maintain the hesitation on acceleration and jerking are because of the dual clutch (?) transmission. Filed complaint with Ford, who insists there is no problem and advised I needed to drive more aggressively. Don'the think I will. I prefer to drive safely and to see another day. Car had been problematic since purchase. Tried to trade it in but trade in value very low. Told by dealership that was because people have become aware of the problem with that transmission.

Focus S

The ride and handling is very good, gas mileage is great between 33-37 highway. Trans is auto and hard to get use to as it is a manual auto. For a seden in this class size it is a all around nice car.
