freestyle
I bought my 2006 Freestyle in February. I live in New England; it has been great in the snow! Very comfortable, I enjoy driving it.

Excellent family vehicle
This vehicle has lots of room, surprising room for the third row seats. Theatre style seating is very nice. Lots of safety features. Handles well and the CVT transmission is excellent, no jerking when changing gears like a regular transmission, as there are no "gears" per se to shift into. Our AWD gets very good gas mileage. People have complained about enough power but I found it is plenty. Great family car!

Excellent Crossover But Will It Make It
Our family enjoys the Freestyle, especially with its roomy interior and excellent mileage compared to other crossovers. The mini-van is so "suburban" and the SUV is so "wasteful" that a crossover solved our need of shuttling two children around with good mpg. Here is my concern, will Ford drop this model for their new Edge crossover. Am I going to be driving a vehicle that isn't even being built anymore? I'm been pondering this thought and thinking that I should have waited another year to buy the Edge.
