most fun car I have ever owned

Bought 2005 Mustang convertible from private owner with 54,000 miles. It is almost perfect. Had it checked out by local garage all mechanics in great shape and the body is almost flawless. Driven about 1,000 miles now. The most fun car I have ever owned. Carfax checked out to the letter. This car has never seen snow and never will. I plan to keep this car a long time. V-6 4.0 has plenty of power and handles great with that classic Mustang growl.

Good Clean Fun!

2005 Mustang GT Convertible What can be better than the growl of a V-8 and the sun shining on your face? These are fun, reliable cars that can be used every day, or enjoyed just when the sun shines! Good stock power, fun to personiliza and a blast to drive with a look that still is cool!

I've loved every minute of this car

I bought my 2005 Mustang Convertible with 30 miles on it. I am not a fast driver, but drove consistantly 50 miles a day to commute back and forth to work. This car never let me down. We keep up with the maintenance as needed and we never, ever had a problem. The only thing that has happened is the lever to lean the seat forward broke off after a few years, but that is it! The seats could be a bit more comfortable. I did not take on long trips because the seats just weren't comfortable enough, but I don't think this car is meant for road trips anyway. But with that said, there is tons of trunk space and the convertible top works as good today as it did when we bought the car almost 6 yrs ago. Unfortunately, I have to sell it because I cannot fit my 2 growing sons in the back seat anymore, but I am really going to miss her!

best muscle car for your money

I've owned the car for only 5 months so to for reliability I have no clue but for the rest the car is great for proformace comfort. Dash rattles when you floor it. That means they used cheap material. Amazing comfort and gas milage is decent. I enjoy the car.

2005 Mustang

I bought my Mustang in April of 2007 and it has been the best car we have ever had. Other than oil changes, one new battery and a small part that cracked on the thermostat, this car has never let us down. Not only does it look great and we get compliments on it all the time, it is a comfortable ride, and even the 6 cylinders have enough power to get you where you want to go in a hurry. I would recommend this car to anyone. I am a fan of the 2005-2009 body style however. I don't like the new look they came out with for the rear end in 2010, but I would not hesitate to get another Mustang.

So so..but for the money...it's good.

Pros: 1. Excellent exterior styling. Very retro. Always a head-turner. 2. Excellent turning radius. 3. Bright tail lights...excellent for braking at night. 4. Shaker 500 sound system is a plus. 5. Ford dealers everywhere, so easy for repairs/maint. 6. Good sized trunk with split folding rear seats. 7. Strong air conditioning system. 8. Excellent layout of instrumentation/controls. 9. Excellent high-beam headlamps for night driving. 10. Good amount of low-end torque. 11. Overall, good value for the money. Cons: 1. Sort of underpowered for a V6. Outdated engine technology results in low to average horsepower. 2. No Steptronic auto transmission. 3. Cheap materials used for interior. 4. No interior trunk release. 5. So, so reliability. 6. Too much body roll. 7. If equipped without ABS or Traction Control, handling is inferior compared to competition. 8. Solid rear axle affects ride on bumps. 9. Stiff ride overall, especially on bumpy roads. 10. Back seat only for children or small items. 11. Poor instrumentation lighting for tach & speedometer during daytime. 12. Inadequate interior cabin lighting. 13. Long hood and fastback design can hinder visibility. 14. Poor low-beam headlamps for night driving. 15. 2-3 second delay when gas pedal pressed for quick acceleration. 16. Lacks a lot of bells/whistles that other cars include as standard items.

AWESOME, AWESOME CAR!

I got my mineral grey 05 Mustang about 4 1/2 years ago. It had 35k when I got it. It the automatic, and though it's the six banger, with a sweet duel exhaust it sounds amazing. I have some nice rims, wide rubber, hood pins, hood scoop, boss 302 rear black out kit, gold stripes across the hood, roof and trunk and rear wing. I drive the car constantly, I now have 96 K miles. I am the president of a mustang club, so I show it all the time, race it (mid 15s, 89mph), and even now, whenever I get gas, I still amost always have people comment on how nice a car it, or thinking that it is still nearly new. Gas mileage is very good, but I have a lead foot. I have had normal stuff needing changed, tie rod, battery, brakes, tires. But never major stuff. The styling is awesome. I grew up in the 60's and it is almost reliving my childhood. I see all the great lines from 60's stangs all over the car. I never, even after all this time, am tires yet of the looks. I know allot of people think the interior is cheap, but I also got one of those 400.oo woodgrain interior kits. Tottally kicks up the dash and eliminates the black cheap plastic look. But the dash too reminds me of the 67-68 dash. The dash cover and the long hood take me back. THe car is fun to drive, and with traction control, antilock brakes, and winterforce snows..( I live by Cleveland) I have never, ever had a scary moment int he winters. We just had over 100 inches of snow this winter, and I have driven this car for four winters. I drive the car concientiously...I know what it's good at in back weather, and what it bad at, Just use commen sense. Most of you just commute by yourself from point A to point B. The thought of spending countless thousands on some car (good as it may be) that is boring, ugly, or just anohther forgettable applience is stupid. Why not have unforgettable looks, classic style, descent gas mileage, Fun drive, enough bulk for it to feel safter than allot of smaller cars, and something you can modify sensibly for cheap. Plus the insurance and overall reliablility is cost affective too. I wholeheartedlly recommend any 05 up stang...!!!!
