Nice ride.

I was very surprised to see that Ford has been improving their quality and design. Everything in the car makes sense. It's not over-designed. It has most of what I need and stops. I hate too many buttons. The car has a nice tight feel to it. It holds the road well and has a nice over-all feel of quality. The sound system is quite good. Really a great value. It's just a feel-good experience getting into this car every day.

onen of the best

really enjoy driving this. I have wanted one for many years and finally went and got one. I have had it two years and never a problem. it gets great gas mileage and has a lot of power for a 6 cylinder auto. I wonder how much better the new ones are.

Shelby GT-500 40th Anniversary Edition

This vehicle needed to be sent to the Shelby factory in Las Vegas to receive the 40 Anniversary package and the Super Snake upgrade. Before the conversion, I have to say the exhaust note and power were somewhat disappointing. After the upgrades, it became a summer top down favorite. It is the most fun since my 1967 GT 350. My only complaints are a bumpy ride and that rear axcle that belongs in the Smithsonian.

mid-life crisis treatment

I bought this car with only 6,000 miles on it. The car is like new and has several performance upgrades, including suspension. The ride is firmer than I would prefer, but the handling is excellent. The power drivers seat is comfortable, but the manual passenger seat does not have enough adjustment to be as comfortable. Ford should include a power adjustable passenger seat as part of the premium package. There is a thumping or ratteling in the right front of the car, especially on rough roads. This is a common complaint for the 2005-2009 Mustangs and Ford does not have a cure. Some people have found that replacing strut mount takes care of it. But, a fun car to drive and a bargain performance car.

Fun car to own

I've had my 07 now for almost 3 years and have had only one mechanical issue with the hand brake locking up on an ice cold winter morning. Other than that I get around 24 mpg work and back and have gotten up to 28 mpg on longer road trips. I love the styling of the S197 mustang and for day-today use the V6 provides ample torque and power. My only complaints are: 1. Hard materials used on the centre console bruises the outside of my knee on long trips. 2. The live axle in the back can make for scary moments on bumpy highway on- and off-ramps.

Convertible Fun

I just picked up a 2007 Mustang, V6 convertible. While my friends all rib me for not getting the V8, I'll be driving the car about 400 miles every weekend in summer, and wanted the V6 fuel economy. The motor makes enough horsepower to keep me happy, and the ride is nice. I didn't break the bank buying it, and it met my goal to own a nice convertible after the kids finished college. The car is a nice size, and fits my 6'-0" frame comfortably. The convertible top controls are very nice, and with it up, it's a quiet as any other car I've owned.

Adrenalin Rush

The 07 Shelby GT puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I was able to tour the Shelby factory in Las Vegas and drive the car home with my son. I mainly drive it on sunny days to the nearby redwood coast. It takes the curvy roads with ease and gets over 21 mpg. The white paint and silver stripes gets looks anywhere I go. As a Mustang driver and collector (1964 -07)for 39 years, this one is my favorite.
