Great car bought it used with 4000 miles on it now have 40000. the gas mileage is great 30 miles a gallon on the high way easy!thats what my little accord gets and the mustang looks better and has more power!

The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is an awesome car! For a 500+ horsepower beast it drives, handles, stops and operates like a dream. The dash and instrumentation electronics are colorfully enlightening but simple to use and the Shaker Sound system really kicks. I have the convertible model and there are no squeaks, rattles, leaks or wind noises that are common in other brands. The 6 speed shifts easy and the clutch easy enough to use for my short young daughter. I over a year of ownership there has been no problems and the value of it has not gone down but up if anything. I get constant looks, smiles, compliments and thumbs up while driving from other motorists and pedestrians. The insurance is very reasonable for a car like this because it has a 5 star crash rating in every category including rollover (on a convertible? - way to go Ford!) and standard anti-lock brakes, traction control and anti-theft systems. I plan to drive this car into my 80's or health willing my 90's because it's the comfortablest and funnest muscle/sports car convertible my large frame body has every experienced.

I just purchased a 2008 Mustang Shelby GT that was advertised on cars.com two weeks ago. I had been looking for this year and model Mustang for several weeks. The Shelby handling, performance, and appearance package is the best bang for the buck. There were only 1074 Vista Blue Shelby coupes made in 2008 and now I have one with only 11,000 miles on it. It is my new daily driver and I get a thrill everytime I start it up. I recommend Ford Mustangs above any other type of muscle cars for their value, performance, and quality.

This is an amazing car! I highly recommend this car to anyone of any age who wants to have a practical everyday car along with lots of fun! If you drive right, you can get decent gas mileage and it does exactly what you want it to. Very reliable, no problems yet. Mine is the vista blue with white stripes down the middle; and not a day has gone by that i haven't received a compliment.

I have owned 3 recent Mustangs the 06 Pony, nice looking no speed a 05 Saleen, fast , corners great , fun to drive and a 08 Regency, convertible cruiser fun to drive in a different way. I like them all for different reasons. Mostly I grew up with them. I had no problems with any of them. I'm looking to get the KR or Boss next.

The first day I got it it broke down and then I spent around 5,000 in repairs. It had a loud engine and it is not powerful at all. It performs sloppily when in snow, ice or rain and the steering is bad. After two weeks it broke down again, so I traded it in and then my new one broke down after a month. It vigorously broke down so I switched to Lexus, which is far better. The car has an ungly finish and is poorly vantilated. Never get it!

I purchased a used 2008 Mustang Saleen with 475 hp Stage 3 supercharger and Saleen plus racing suspension 4" off the ground. It was the quickest car on the road and track until Shelby in 2011 put a 500 hp supercharger Stage 4 Saleen supercharger. Corvette came out with a 508 supercharger. It would irratate the corvette, shelby, charger, viper, and challenger owners to try and keep up with me. The racing suspension puts the corvette suspension to shame. The competition five speed shifter was so quick to ship most people thought it was an automatic. The problem with the racing suspension was that it was 4" off the ground and made it difficult to pull in and out of driveways without some logistical strategy to keep the air dam and bottom from scraping. At 70-80 mile per hour rush hour traffic was no problem to power the car from lane to lane with no noticeable body tilt. Swallom makes the corvette look clumsy and inept. The brakes were the only problem in that the car had more power than could be stopped with stock brakes. The limited slip traction control puts all power to the wheels and keeps the car going straight while others are trying to get off the line you are already gone. If you are an adrenaline junky this is the only car one should own. For the money the Saleen Stage 3 mustang with racing suspension and beefed up breakes gets 32 mpg with real 100% gas on the hwy. with ethanol it gets 21 mpg hwy and results in choking city performance to nothing. One should use Blue Oil and real gas to keep the rocket moving properly and cheaply.

if you want an amazing car buy a one year old mustang. i went to carmax and bought 2008 mustang gt convertible 5 speed with only 8k on the speedometerfor just over $20,000. i laugh when i see people buying new Accords or even Corollas for that much. i could care less about the gas. I just saved about $12k off a brand new Mustang. The key is as the gas price goes up no one wants these cars. when gas goes down you really made an amazing deal. My car gets around 20 0n the highway. For all you wimps who are going to buy an Accord and Camry grow a pair and buy a mustang!

I have already put over 8000 miles. I first took the car for a 4 day trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway, about 600 miles on the parkway. The car was comfortable, handled curves and hills with ease. I drive 120 miles a day traveling to and from work. The car remains very fun to drive and performs well in traffic. For short trips my 2 adult kids, my wife and myself ride comfortably for a 2 door sport car. I have the V6 and find in traffic to and from work I average 23 -24 MPG. I understand the new 2011 model is even better on fuel. This V-6, which is rated at 211 HP, is less then the new 2011, but still performs well. I only seen one problem so far. I do not have a garage and the car window froze in the up position one night after a freezing rain froze. I simply left the car run for about 10 min with the heater on and the window works fine. A simple remote starter should correct the problem. All in all this is a great car and we are already discussing what color to get when it is time to replace this one. I purchased a Certified Used Ford which allowed me to purchase an extended bumper to bumper factory warranty for reasonable price, which allows several years of care free driving.

Excellent car!! Performance and ride is outstanding as well as Reliability. If you are into the real american muscle this is the car for you. Sorry Camaro!!
