We love the new Ford Ranger!

We love everything about the new Ford Ranger. It’s powerful, sporty and fits in the garage. This is my son’s first “new” vehicle and he absolutely loves it.

Great Truck

I bought the new Ranger Lariat to flat tow behind my motorhome. Was surprised by the Power and torque I live near Asheville NC in the mountains, so the truck can handle the mountain roads with no problem.

FORD Fans Will Love this Truck

If you are a Ford fan, and a fan of the previous Ranger, this truck is awesome. I bought the Lariat FX4 and have nothing but awesomeness to say about this truck. I have owned more Ford vehicles than I can count, '68 Fairlane 500 Station Wagon, '81 Mercury Capri, '91 Escort, '94 Mustang, '92 Mercury Sable, '04 Taurus, ' 04 F-150, '02 Focus, '16 Mustang Convertible, '99 Mustang Convertible, and a few others I can't even remember. This is a truck, plain and simple. If you are looking to haul tons of yard waste, mulch, dirt, etc. for a very large yard quite often then maybe this isn't for you. But, if you do these things as a "weekend warrior" and/or DIY'r, then you will not at all be disappointed. I was skeptical about the 2.3L motor, but this thing has the squirrels to get up and run with the best of them. The interior feels inviting and comfortable, big enough for an average family of 4 to get around town and even on vacation over many miles. I've had this truck for just about a month and already have 2200 miles on it. I will say, though, the only thing to be cautious about is the technology. Everything outside of the main dash screen has had no issues, but a couple of bugs that seem to have either rectified themselves or been fixed in firmware updates with the screen tech were troublesome on day 3. Difficult to describe, but nothing but the rear camera worked for one trip, and a giggle of the fuse seemed to fix the issue and haven't had any problems since. You might be a little confused with the posted gas mileage v. the actual, but there are several articles and videos out there with this information. The sticker says 24 highway, but i've been getting around 21 on average, and highway is the majority of my driving. This is something Ford admitted could be problematic, and I expected. Either way, if you like Ford trucks, this will not disappoint in any way and will serve every need you have for everyday life.

First truck I have owned.

It fits in the garage, great look and style, strong enough to pull my pontoon boat. It is also fun to drive with a usable backseat.

Living up to most expectations.

This truck is almost perfect for me. I went with the SuperCab version because I rarely have more than one passenger, and I wanted the extra foot of bed. It's a bit warm-blooded, as the engine and/or transmission are a little rough until it's warmed up. I only do light towing, so the Ranger is more than adequate. The technology leap from 2011 is impressive, particularly the Adaptive Cruise Control. It's nice to plug my iPhone in and run Waze on the dash display, but occasionally Sync 3 disconnects itself.

From test, to order. (PNW)

Test drive this truck back in February. I was impressed by the power behind the wheel! Don’t underestimate this little eco-boost. I used to own a Ford Ranger 2001, and so I like the utilitarian feel of the interior. My only big complaint is that the rear seats in the SuperCrew (4-Door) don’t fold down all the way. It’d be nice is it had configurations like what the Tacoma has. Other than that, I love the new transmission paired with the engine. It allowed for a smooth and quiet ride. That being said, I ordered a Ford Ranger 2019 FX4 and I’ll for sure be doing another review once I get it!

Great truck with a fatal flaw.

I like just about everything about this truck. It has everything I want in a medium truck, but here is the problem, It has too much of what I don't want in a truck. The deal breaker is the stop & go feature which is not optional. I would pay extra not to have this feature. Absolute techno garbage that is not needed or wanted. Will not purchase a vehicle with this feature.
