Appearance leaves something to be desired

I can't get around the fact that the appearance looks so "lady friendly". The power is okay. The confort is okay. Much like the new Honda RidgelineIt feels like a truck with the quality level of 5 years ago. Instead of trying to break new ground, they seem to be wanting to be more targeted towards non pickup truck users, which makes no sense. Just look at the options for cab and bed. There is zero versatility.

Fantastic drivetrain - Even better with Hi-test

I’ve had the 2019 Ranger for a few weeks now and couldn’t be happier. Most of the professional reviews I’ve read are spot-on, so I’ll only add that this vehicle should be run using 91 octane or better gas, it will run on 87 but will pull stronger and smoother if filled with premium. I use Amoco/BP Ulimate 93 and the Ecoboost 2.3 purrs like a kitten.

Ford missed the mark......

It's a shame too. Ford could have hit a home run. I had no problem with the 2.3. It performed fine, and looks great. The issue is the interior. I test drove the Ranger Lariat expecting it to be as loaded as well, a Lariat. Nope. Only 4 way power seats (no recline), a tiny armrest (not cool for most men) and no sunroof available. May seem picky but at $40K for a small truck, I don't think so. Something just "cheap" feeling about it. And again, at $40K, that shouldn't be the case.

Like it so much, I ordered one!!

To many people comparing this truck to their cars or the F-150. It's its own entity! It's not meant to be as fast as a car or be an imitation of the F-150. It's a MID SIZE TRUCK and is every bite as good or better than those in the same segment. I drove a lariat and was impressed and pleased. Seats were very comfortable. A truck you could travel in. Interior was nice mix of leather and plastic. Instruments were within reach. Performance was strong and handled towing with ease. I ordered the tow package for electric brakes (YES THEY HAVE A BRAKE CONTROLLER and a place to put it. Have to order it separately and have Ford install it). Getting it loaded will run $40,000 but you can develope a nice one for $35,000. Love the look, nice slopping front end to see over. So many good things to mention. Everything I want in a MID SIZE TRUCK. Mine will be here soon!!!

Think I'll Pass

I drove a Ranger at Overlamd Expo in NC. We qualify for Ford family discount; have 2018 Escape and 2003 Expedition with 210K miles, had 1990 Ranger until 2010 (great). Been been patiently waiting for new Ranger to tow 4,200 lb RV trailer. Specs are good, disappointed about no brake controller like available on the F-150. And, no good space to install one. Also, our Escape with 2.0L turbo seemed to have better pickup than the 2.3L Ranger; wish they offered a 2.7L eco-boost. Think I'll sit this one out....

it is the one perfect vehicle for any terrain

it has 26 usb ports a great amount of comfort, the seats make your back tickle and the turn signals shoot out sparks when they turn on.
