Explore the 1997 Honda Accord

Everything it was supposed to be.

I bought this with 28k mi to be a car I wouldn't have to spend money on, and I didn't, until it had radiator hose problems that I neglected to the end. I drove it hard, and people hit me in it, and it didn't complain once, just kept on driving. Never did need anything besides maintenance and radiators. You buy this to be cheap, and it was, and I imagine they always will be.

Ride 'em as long as you like and then sell 'em

With the exception of the clear coat, trans and window motors everything worked well. Changed out the O2 sensor and changed belts, rad and hoses and it treated me just fine. The bad trans surprised me. I knew the Odyssey trans was doomed from the start, but a lightweight car like the Accord? The clearcoat was a major error!

Reliable.

First car I've purchased and an accord before 98 will last an easy 250k miles if properly maintained through in through out. It's not a power car and the automatic transmissions on these Honda's need to be taken care of properly otherwise they are prone to prematurely fail.

My 97 Honda Accord V6 matched a 2016 Buick Regal

I absolutely LOVE my 1997 Honda Accord sedan. Today is March 13, 2018 and I had a 2016 Buick Regal pull up and already knew that my car was old so he wanted to test me!!! So, at a light after he pulled a fast one on me, we both took off at the same length but while he THOUGHT he was going to accelerate past me, that NEVER HAPPENED?? WHY, because my car was just as fast as his new car and I had to laugh to myself as he turned left, I knew he didn't want any further embarrassment!!! I'm such a roadster on the road, people THINK because my car is old that it's a piece of junk!! Love when I accelerate and they just look amazed!!! This is the best car I've ever owned. I also currently have a 2009 Honda Accord sedan but it's still under warranty so it's hibernating!

Wish I can give more stars

It all first started with my little 91 Honda accord, that's when I became a "Honda For Life" girl. I have owned 3 Accords. My latest one is a 97 and I can't say enough on how reliable this car is. Looks good, low maintenance. I LOVE IT!

Definitely a trooper this car has gotten me around

It?s reliable and okay on gas. Definitely will get you where you need to go but not really made for long distance travel. Even though we?ve driven 3 hours to see family it was still reliable and still is!

This vehicle is low maintenance, the power is great, dependable and efficient. You can count on it. Aircon and heating is still good. Good sound system and moonroof...
