First Honda I have owned.

Really like the car. I have an LX and wish I had gotten an EX for more do-dads. Wish it had a protection strip along the sides. I call it my "travelin' car".

It's good, but has a small problem

My accord is good and reliable, but has a small problem is it's Tire Pressure Monitor System(TPMS)light is on. I don't know why.

finallylady finally found a car!!

It took me more than two months, but found an Accord. Have a great reputation and history which is why I chose this. other comparable brands did not have the quality of the inside Price was good, mileage okay, but inside car was what sold me on this used car. Gas mileage was a consideration. I am averaging 30 mpg.

Honda's Decline

This is the second time I have been burned by Honda. First time, I bought a 2000 Accord, and it turned out to be a lemon. I tried again in 2008 with the Accord to only have a similar situation. To start, both transmitters gave me problems every three months for the first two years. The following items had to be replaced before the car hit 30K: battery, tires and new rear break pads. Other areas of the car are poorly designed. The trunk is basically pieces put together with stapels. Well, it wasn't strong enough to hold up with suitcases during traveling. The final issue was recently. The vinal that covers the console arm rest began bubbling up from the heat. Honda replaced it for us out of good faith since we've had so many other issues. Well about a month ago, the same problem occured with the passengers side arm rest on the door. That was the last problem that I would tolerate. Honda is highly overrated, and they are only living off of the reputation they established in the '90s. I will NEVER own another one.

Best Car I Have Ever Owned

Great performance from the 4cyl and great gas mileage (27 city, 31 hwy) make this car the perfect combination of performance and economy. Plenty of room for a family of four and super nice to drive extended distances. I can't come up with any negatives, and this is after 37k miles.

First and Last

I decided to try Honda instead of Toyota with this purchase because of the exterior style. The road noise is annoying. The gas mileage is a huge disappointment. (It is a 4 cylinder for goodness sakes!) My brakes began making noise at 35,000 miles also. The overall quality of this EX-L compared to a Camry is pitiful. My next car will be a Toyota like this one should have been.

Newly designed Accord lacking from prior models

As previously owner of 4 Honda's since 1999, I am disappointed in the apparent cost cutting components of the newer Accord. For example, 4 cyl engine w/manual has much worse performance and economy than same exact 2004 model. Very disappointing. Road noise is much more prevalent, no insulation under hood, in doors or trunk. Buckets seat design is much more uncomfortable. Cheap controls for windows, locks and mirrors. Currently am very tempted to purchase/trade for older model.

Ok, but needs work.

This is my first Accord and will probably be my last. I bought the car new and noticed early on that the front seats were very uncomfortable. It has a so called lumbar support, but it is not very efficient. After about 30,000 miles, the rear brakes started to squeal. It seemed odd to me because the rear brakes on a car generally take much longer to wear out than the front. I did some reading up on this and found that it was a common problem with this car. I contacted the dealer I bought the car from and he happened to be talking with a Honda representative that day. He called me back later on that day and set up an appointment to check this out. He said the rep. told him to repair these at no cost to the customer IF the customer complained. They repaired this and it is still doing good. I now have 57,000 miles and am having to replace a right rear wheel hub. This is also an item I would not expect to be giving trouble this early. No help for this problem, out of warranty. The car does have good styling, but disappointing reliability.

Honda

This is the fourth Accord I have owned. All have been excellent cars. Very little maintenance and long lasting.

08 LX-P

When I first saw this car I was stunned. This car is the competition against the altima and camry and looks much better. My previous car was aa 2007 Toyota Camry V6 LE until I was t-boned going to work. Anyway the Accord's styling from the front is truly amazing, one guy at the car wash asked if the body kit came with it or I put it on. The rims are also very nice. The rest of the car is okay. The interior was also okay considering the price and the fact that this isn't a luxury car. My friends love it because the backseat is huge. There are a bunch of buttons which looks pretty nice but only serve for two functions. Now onto the car, gas mileage is terrible considering the 4 cylinder engine, I'm only getting between 16 and 18 mpg highway/city combined. The power is extremely weak, the seats took 6 months to get used to but are still uncomfortable. In my opinion, the same year camry, V6 or 4 cylinder beats this car in everything except size and styling. So if you want the styling get the accord, you want performance and comfort, get the camry.
