2007 Honda Civic Si
My credentials are that I have owned virtually every brand of sports cars including Ferrari (2), BMW (10+), Porsche (5), and will sum this car up as the best sports car FOR THE MONEY I have ever had. It is an absolute ball to drive, the quality is beyond question. I have seen some complaints about brake life of the standard Civics (non-Si) but I put 43k miles on it and the brakes are still at 70%. Everything works well, the seats are great, it's good looking. You do pay some penalty in the "plushness" of the ride for the quick handling, but considering the performance, the ride is great. Bottom line is that while I normally only keep cars a year or two (so little time, so many great cars...) it took me three years to get to the point where I can even think about parting with this car.

Not bad but Not great
I have owned my 2007 LX for a year now, purchased with 12,000 miles. Comfort stinks, E-brake rubs against your leg and the cabin room is small. Gas mileage (all highway miles) as best 32-33mpg, I commute 100 miles each day. Other than that has been an o k car.

Reliable ... Uncomfortable head rest
The head rest seems to hit you funny; pushing your head forward and putting strain on your neck. Car seats pose difficulty with leg room. My husband (6foot tall) has difficulty sitting in the car with our older 3 yr old behind him since there just isn't enough leg room between the front and the back. Fuel economy was not as good as the earlier civics... prob because it's "bigger" (yet not so spacious)

You won't regret your purchase
I have owned my 2007 Civic EX for 2 years now. I have always owned (used) Honda Civic's due to their affordability and reliability. I purchased this Civic brand new because I wanted to spoil myself. I could have easily bought a used one and would have not doubted the quality and reliability of the brand (even if it had a ton of miles). I simply love it. I get about 37mpg on the highway and about 33mpg in the city, and it is not even a hybrid (good old 87 octane gas is all she takes). I have about 30K miles on it currently and only have needed to take it in to the dealer for oil changes [on average the computer (yea it has a computer that tells you what type of maintenance is needed)tells me to take it in every 6k miles]. It is not an SI so I cannot complain about the performance. The 1.8L does its job and considering the 140hp, 128lb/ft numbers are comparable to the '99 type R / GSR model it has plenty of oomph for highway cruising. The interior is very ergonomic and plush, the sound system is great, and the brakes feel safe and secure. Honestly, I can't give you any cons to purchasing this vehicle, but I have to be conscious. It's not perfect that is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars above in certain categories (more because it can improve but not because it is bad). It is all that and a box of chocolates.

Another satisfied customer!
This car is a favorite of mine. My only complaints are two, the engine lacks low end torque and I wish it had the adaptive cruise control. Otherwise, this is one great car. It is one of the most well made cars I have ever owned. Handles great with very quick steering (I have a coupe). Transmission shifts are unnoticeable, you have to watch the tach to see when shifts are made. Very comfortable front seats. Just a fun car to drive. I have owned it 2 years now and still look forward to driving it!

It's been a lemon for me.
I bought this car brand new and only put 14k miles on it before the brakes had to be replaced. Then it was in at least 5 times for AC not working properly. Month after month it was in the shop for warranty covered repairs that took up much of my time. I thought Hondas were reliable but this one is a lemon. By far the worst car I've ever owned for reliability and expect to sweat in the summer because the AC is very weak.

Two bad problems = a bad car
1) Comfort is awful. Head rest pushes my head forward. I have to remove for long drives. I must use 2 wedge cushons - back & seat or my back goes out after an hour drive. No adjustments to fix it. 2) I just put my FOURTH set of brakes in at 39,000 - under 10k per set! Under 7,000 miles this set. Les Schwab says this is amazing - worst they've ever seen on a Honda. Yet dealer repair folk aren't surprised - say they or wife get 14k or so and blame it on my driving! These 2 are enough to cool me on this - I WAS a loyal Honda owner. I'd hesitate to buy another.

I am so jealous!
I found this used EX for my wife with 15k on it for $14,500. Wow!!! I want it for me! This thing looks great, handles really well, ride is supple, acceleration is fine, mileage is terrific and the interior layout is cool. Cabin is quiet with the exception of some minor engine noise (growling) when accelerating hard. Honda got it right on this redesign.

Car is everyhting I thought it would be and more.
I have a long commute to and from work 60 miles each way. So I need a car that gets good gas mileage and is comfortable. This car is both. I have been very happy with the car the inside everything is easy to reach and well placed. My experiance driving on the highway has been a good one the car acclerates well, handles great and is fun to drive. I was told that I would like this car by someone who owns an older model and he was right.
