Worst Suv Ever!

I bought a Cr-V and my family hates it. It can barely get up a hill and it stinks. If you buy a car and want a crossover don't bother even test driving it. My 2001 Caravan ran better and it didn't have heat. If you want a honda and have to have an suv Look at the poilot. Over all it rides comfortable and the inside is great. In the back it has a good amount of leg room (I am 6 foot 3 inches).

Needs 20 more ponies!

Just had this car for 5,000 miles and still getting used to it. I live in the mountains and Honda definitely has to come out with a 6-cyl. to give the CRV more oomph. Road noise is as pronounced as most reviews say. On the positive side, it's very smooth, the space is very usable and, the biggest reason I bought it, it has absolutely bullet proof reliability. This might be my fifth Honda (first CRV) and they have never let me down. If you are not in the mountains and don't need the power, this is the car for you.

Good but not perfect

We have the LX 4wd version, we use it for everything. Its alright on gas, gets better once you break the 10,000kms, probably better in the 2wd version. This thing is awesome in the snow, we got it in January so we went through the winter with the new all-seasons, always traction, very stable. Its slow and desperatly needs a V6. Hate the way the rear seats fold, they don't go flat like most. Lots of space though, taken numerous trips and couldn't believe the amount of stuff we could pack up. Only complaint, and its a major one, is that if you have a seperate set of winter tire/rims you have to get the TPMS valves (which are like 100$ each*4) or apparently thetraction control system turns off, which is absolutely stupid and unrelated. This is what honda canada told us, after we bought the car. This means that this year I have to buy rims/tires/tpms valves from honda instead of aftermarket, can you say bend over?

a true bang for your buck

i love every aspect of this vehicle i have owned hondas since 1990 i had 2 1990 accords a 2004 CRV and i had a 2009 civic for a year and a half and by far the 2010 CRV IS THE BEST. i am comparing my new one to my 04 model i loved my old CRV i had 150,000 miles on it i would still have it today but sadly i got hit from the side and rolled 3 times. but back to my new CRV i paid $25,000 and honda fixed the cabin noise problem and every new honda has a keyless entry lock. the handling on it is phenomenal it takes corners like a sports car not like an SUV but with that said i wouldn't recommend slamming the e-brake and trying to drift it. its towing capacity is great for my 2 wave runners and my motor cycle trailer. all in all i love my honda and i will continue buying honda products

Loyal CR-V owner dissappointed.

Purchased new CR-V after owning 05 and 07 that were enough to make me want nothing but Honda CRV forever . Both were great and gave me every ounce of my money's worth as well as extreme satisfaction. Have gotten into the habit of replacing my vehicle on a regular basis and I did so with my wonderful 2007 EX-L. Traded in for new EX-L. Must say I have not been happy with my decision. One thing, and maybe the most important ( I hate to reveal) is that my previous 2 CR-v's were made in Japan, My new one was made in Marysville, Ohio. Perhaps thats the fatal flaw. It seems as if it is a totally different vehicle and... it didnt impress me. performance or comfort were far less than my 07 which I regret trading in. Admittedly, I have only 3 K miles on the new one but already I can tell its a toa=tally different vehicle. Power seats have limited controls and not able to "fine tune" like manual seats. Leather isnt as well done as 07. More wrinkles etc. Engine: With AC on, car cant get out of its own way. feels like I'm dragging another vehicle. Engine revvs when first starting and seems to have lots of "flat" spots in its accelleratino and cruising modes. In CRUISE CONTROL mode, when needing to select a lower gear, it accellerates so fast that I have to brake to keep it from running away. No subtle accelleration like I was used to. My 07 was totally different Gas Mileage- 10 MPG less than window sticker . ave 22.4 on highway, 19.1 in city. @ summers ago. I pulled a 1400 lb pop up from NY to Montana and back and averaged 19.4 mpg and didnt even feel like I was towing anything. Overall- Verry disappointed in New 10 EX-L. Advise you to check window sticker for Japanese origin. I love America but let the Japanese build their own cars. Will not buy another CR-V. Honda ownes check out the new ones for origin and tyake a long, test drive. This isn't a CR-V, just a CR-V wanna be.

Perfect

This ride is a perfect fit for a couple or someone that needs an AWD in winter. Best new car I have purchased in a long time. Just an all around solid SUV!

Great Vehicle!

I'm really happy with my car so far. Not a hot rod, for sure, but has adequate power. MPG is 26-27 combined. I am 6'2" tall (physically disabled) and can get in and out easily. Seats are very important for me and ergonomics of the controls. Easy and comfortable to drive, although a little harsh on ride. Mine's a CR-V EX-L. with the Leather and heated seats. Heated seats are great, even in the summer. Really pleased; highly rated by owners in Consumer Reports. One caution, there are a number of these vehicles with Continental tires. Not a good OEM tire. Wear 'em out and then get some Cooper CS4 or Yokohama Avid tires. Put them on and the rough ride will get much better.

great machine!

i have had this vehicle now for 7 months and drivin over 13k miles and the CRV is as good and tight as the day it drove off the lot. i have only done 2 oil changes and have averaged about 24mpg real world and that counts crossing the rockies twice. this is a terriffic vehicle and one that i would highly and widely recommend.

Not for me

I was all set to love this car because my wife has an Odyssey that we both love, but I wanted something a little smaller so we could fit them both in the garage. However, it has not lived up to my expectations. The Good: - The fit and finish of the car is excellent - just what I expected of Honda. - It's been totally reliable in the 4 months that I've owned it. - It has all the extras that I was looking for in the EX model, and they are all well laid out. The Bad: - The seats are not comfortable. If i'm in them for more than 15 minutes, I start getting sore. They are too hard a bulge at the wrong place. - There is a slight imperfection in the windshield. Luckily it's on the passenger side, but it makes my wife quezy to ride in my care. - The interior feels cramped and the acrgo area is poorly designed. I compared cubc feet of space with other vechicals, and thought that the CRV would work, but the layout of it is not usable. - Performance is sub-par. Even though it has more horsepower than my old car, the Tourque does not kick in until higher RPMs. This means poor excelleration on the highway, and it continually needs to downshift to even keep up with the speed limit on the highway. - Which leads into the gas mileage. Because it's often downshifting, the MPG is not what I expected. I do mostly highway driving, but I cannot get any better than 22.5 MPG, even with babying it and watching the instant reading MPG gauge. If I could affort to, I'd replace it right now but I'm stuck with it for a while! Live and learn, and now you've been warned as well.

cute car

I like this suv rather than a sedan. Its like the little engine that could. Good space in the back, heated seats nice, plenty of room, stylish.
