my little sports car

This is actually the third fit we have owned. We purchased our lst Fit a 2008 5 speed we actually loved the little car but we decided we were to old for the 5speed and we traded it for the 2010. In 2009 we purchased our daughter one. We all three love the cars. It like a sports car and a little mini van all in one.

Worst Small Car I Have Ever Owned

I enjoy driving small cars and have owned an MG Midget, 76 Ford Pinto (98K miles), Ford Fiesta, Dodge Colt, Mercury Tracer and the Honda Fit without a doubt has the worst ride, least power, most road noise and worst handling at highway speeds of any of the cars I have ever owned. I am so disappointed in this car that I am in the process of trading it in for a Toyota Corolla. To make matters even worse, Honda Dealer Service is hideous and the Maintenance Minder system on Honda cars is nothing short of a license to steal. No matter what the code is, you will pay at least $100.

Nice little Ride

I have owned my Red Honda Fit 2010 since April. It is easy to handle. Nice and roomy for a small car. The cup holders on the front of the dash are great. Whoever thought of this needs a raise! Great gas milage and zippy. This is my first Honda. My only problem with it is that the interior is really hard to keep clean and the doors show every scuff. The black seats are always linty. But other than that....the car is a winner. It will last me for years to come.

Fun almost perfect

Generally my wife and I love our new FIT. It handles well, gets between 35 and 37 mpg, has great storage room, the rear seats fold up as well as down. Many places to store water bottles. Tightly built. All controls are well placed and obvious. It is very cleverly designed. And it is just plain cute. The only major negative is that the AC is very poor. The compressor cycles off and on so you alternately get warm air as well as cool air. That may be OK for the northern tier of states in the USA, but it isn't OK here in Arizona.

one of the best cars I have owned

I have had this car for two months. I am a big dude. 6ft 3in and 320 lbs. I fit comfortably in the fit .Handling is great. I have been averaging 34-35mpg on the highway. I bought it for a daily commute of 120 mi round trip and there are a couple of large mountains I have to go over and the fit handles them well. I would like a little me power off the line but for the gas mileage I am getting I don't mind the sacrifice. overall a great commuter vehicle. only draw back is that you cant see the steering colum controls due to the steerin wheel.

No match to other Honda cars

Bought Fit after 18 years of driving Honda Accord and am very dissapointed. Comfort level of the driver's seat is substandard. My neck and back are strained. No features can make up for the lack of comfort. Deeply regret that I did not go for Nissan Versa.

The opposite of "Fun to Drive"

I bought a 2010 Fit new and wanted rid of it the same day, it was that bad, but it took me over a month and several thousand dollars loss before I found a buyer. Up until then I had been driving faster, sportier car like the WRX. I was attracted by all the press reviews of fun to drive, along with the better gas mileage. I test drove a demontrator Sport model and believed the salesman when he said that the base model was identical in performance and handling as the extras on the Sport were cosmetic except for the remote entry which was available on the base for an extra $700. I did not test the base model, which was my mistake. Before I even got home I pulled into a gas station to check the tires as I thought something was wrong. Handling was awful and the tires squealed. Moderate braking seemed to invoke the anti lock system and the car would not hold steady in a freeway lane because the wind seemed to get under the car and lift it necessitating constant sterring correction and concentration. Whether the Sport was any better I don't know as I only had driven that a short block, but the cornering had felt better. Yes, the gas mileage was good at 32 in my normal commute vs 20 from Subaru, but even if it were 60 the savings would not make up for all the shortcomings. This might be a great car for driving very slowly in a big city like London where parking space is difficult to come by, but other than that there does not seem much point in it.

Great little car

I have owned my 2010 Honda Fit Sport for about a month now. I just love the car. For a small car, it is roomy and comfortable. The stereo system is great with the USB port for your Ipod. The "magic seat" is phenomenal. It is amazing what you get in the is car with the various seat configurations. The gas mileage is good. I am getting about 35MPG on average, about 30 MPG around town and nearly 40MPG on extended highway trips. I do wish the gas tank will a little bigger, but another than that, I would not change a thing.

Love my Honda Fit

I've driven Hondas since 1975, probably every make and model (except the sports car...can't afford it, but love it). This is my second Honda Fit, and I LOVE it. I totaled my first one when someone decided to turn in front of me, and I broadsided them. The police were amazed that I had only bruises from the seatbelts and shortness of breath from the airbag....but, I went out and bought another one immediately. Interestingly enough, I paid $14,000 for my first one, but when the insurance company paid me off, they gave me $16,000...and the car was a little over a year old! Goes to show you how well these cars resell. Again, I love my FIT, and I will drive it into the ground. Of course at my age (64 and loving it), it might last longer than I do!! I recommend this car for young and old because it works for ALL ages and requirements.
