2006 Honda Odyssey consumer reviews

Bought a 2006 Odyssey NEW in 4/06. This vehicle had brake issues. Needed brakes at 17,000 mi. Same issue at 30,000 mi. Same Issue at 45,000, same issue at 58,000. Honda denied any issues at all. Transmission BLEW UP at 62,000 miles. Odysseys have this problem with the transmissions. The transmissions overheat without warning and quit running. Stranded out in Death Valley Calif. A city called Baker! Honda said it's not their problem. The tow truck driver said he has seen this many times. Who do I trust? Purchase something else trust me. We will never purchase another Honda again. EVER. Oh Trans cost $4500.00. Isn't that special? Never purchase an Acura either...made by Honda

ALTHOUGH I DID NOT BUY FROM A DEALER, THEIR INPUT WAS EXTREEMLY HELPFUL IN MY FINALLY CHOOSING THE CAR. I BOUGHT IT FROM A PRIVATE PARTY THAT LISTED IT ON CARS.COM.

I have owned my Odyssey for only 6 weeks but love it already. Get 24mpg on highway. Great features-dual controls, rear controls. Seats up to 8 and can reconfigure seats. Great Grand-ma van.

The Odyssey carries our family in a good way. The interior design is good. The Odyssey has fair owner cost and the electronic features in the vehicle are having a little bit of a hard time working.

HAVE HAD 3 OF THEM LAST 12 YEARS!!!! SOLD 2 TO FAMILY MEMBERS...BEST AND FUNNEST VAN TO DRIVE..TRANNY PROBLEMS ARE ONLY FROM 2001 TO 2003- GREAT ON GAS GREAT ON SNOW GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!!!!!!

We bought ours with 102k turns out it was traded in because of transmission issues. After some time looking on the internet it is a very common problem with all Odyssey vans, Honda did a poor job on these. Everyone is haveing the problem at some point, the other problem is there is no fix, new tranny, but it's being replaced with the same ones that have the problem no upgrade. Stay away unless you have money to burn.

I just bought an Odyssey, it was the best purchase I've everymade. It is more than a purchase, it is an investment that will last for years. My sister has had her Odyssey for 8 years with three kids and he is just breaking it in. We have made it a tradition. All of our cars are Hondas. Thanks Honda, your Odyssey is number one in my book. I have the EX-L model, and I LOVE this van! I don't like that the check engine light comes on often (then goes back off again when I fill up with better gas), but other than that, we've had no problems. It's stylish, and has all the bells and whistles I could want.

best vehicle that delivers bang for the buck and best value for the money. highly recommend this to any buyer. best vehicle in the family van category.

Enhanced power over my 1999 model. Smoother, quieter ride. More power. Styling?, hey- it's a minivan. Keep a sports car for your ego. Seats are more comfortable and sound system is great. Would give 5 stars all around if we were comparing it to what's available from other mfgs. But hey, it could always be a little more stylish, and could also be a little less expensive. Well worth the money.
