Traded Highlander for 2017 Pilot
To be fair we had owned 2 Pilots (2005, 2009) and gave the Highlander a shot for a few years. However the 2017 Pilot certainly has more room, gets better gas mileage and overall is a better road trip vehicle than the Highlander. The 2015 Highlander was good, the 2017 Pilot is just better.

Nice SUV that can be better
The Pilot meets my life style's internal space needs but lacks power for mountains uphill driving. It's comfortable to drive and looks appealing, although it looks so much like many similar vehicles. It has ample storage space unless the third row seats ate open. Power loss very noticable with more than 4 people in the car or when towing a small trailer. Sharp decline in fuel efficiency is noticable when towing and mountainous terrain driving, another issue with the undersized power train. Hidden storage area in the back could use dividers to prevent stored items from constantly shifting. The Honda ACC and Lane Departure systems, when turned on are annoying in their slow responses and severe "ultra safe" features. The right turn camera is great but it would be better to have the same for left turns as well. It is time these safety features become standard equipment rather than an expensive add-on. Adding Apple Car-Play (and its equivalent Android system) would be a big plus even if a small charge was required for it. Overall - a nice SUV that could be much better.

Never buy Honda Pilot 2016 all models
We bought our pilot 2016 touring almost two years ago after 4 months I noticed some ticking noise then I took it to the dealer they said it's normal so I drove it back home and now there's another issue that when you driving car you can hear a sound when it's changing the gear from 2nd to 3rd , so anyway we take it back our pilot to the dealer and we still waiting for answers regarding about this issues.
