Awesome Car

I have had this car for approximately 2 months and I continue to get compliments on the "look" at least 3x per week. It has everything you would want with a sport car for a third less than it's competitors.

I love this car

I own the 2,0T Premium edition of this vehicle. I have had my eye on this car since I saw the concept edition of it, and I am very pleased with the production model, particularly the 2.0T. It has plenty of pickup, is comfortable, lot's of fun gadgets and the handling is tight. The "buzzy" turbo doesn't sound that way at all to me. As a matter of fact I think it sounds pretty cool... no... really cool. It does take a little getting used to how and when the turbo charger kicks in, but once you get used to it, and know how to use it, this car will throw you in the seat for sure. I do though wish that Hyundai would not have installed a turbo silencer, but I also do understand that they are targeting a large market, and many buyers do not want to hear that beautiful whine. I really can't say enough about how much I like this car. It's the one I have always wanted.

Tremendous value & driving experience

We purchased the 3.8 Grand Touring model Genesis Coupe in early April & it has met all of our expectations & then some. The performance features--ride, handling, braking, steering & acceleration are all outstanding & precise. The front seats are firm & supportive, yet extremely comfortable---driving is never tiring & a most enjoyable experience. The only suggestions for improvement would be a softer plastic or leather trim in the interior, & actual brushed aluminum interior highlights. The marginal increase in cost to accomplish this would complete the interior aesthetics as equal or superior to any similarly-equipped coupe under $50K for $10K-$20K less in price. We have not had a single service or repair issue to this point. I would definitely recommend this coupe to anyone who doesn't need to regularly haul backseat passengers & wants the best driving experience available at a truly reasonable price. Well done Hyundai!

Better than Lexus G series coupe

I drove a Lexus G series coupe for about a year and found it probably the best car I had ever driven in my life....that is until I pulled up to a stoplight and there was an identical car sitting beside me, with a little "H" on its trunk exterior as I eased up. I opened my window and the driver of that vehicle smiled and said, "Nice car, but I bet you paid too much for it". I laughed and needless to say he even beat me out of the light accelerating to 140 km/h faster than my G could do it. To make a small story short, the very next day I drove to my local Hyundai dealership and traded in my Lexus coupe for a 3.8 V6 Genesis coupe with automatic. I didn't need to test drive it, I didn't need to do anything else...I just knew I wanted that vehicle. It turned out that with my trade in I only spent $ 14,000 on it and I feel I am in the better for it. The Genesis Coupe handles better, accelerates smoother and is much much quieter than my 2008 Lexus G coupe. I also got Bluetooth for my phone without paying an extra $ 400.00 for it !! :) It has been 3 months now and about 8000 kilometers later and I never look back at my Lexus G. Hyundai now has a former Lexus customer for life. My next purchase will be a Genesis Sedan maybe in a couple of years when they get that 430 hp engine in it in 2011 :) From a former Lexus G driver....just buy this car, it hands down outperforms my old Lexus in all categories.

still luvin it after 2 mos

This car is being marketed to people who like to drive and have fun doing it. The price point was set to embarass Lexis and Infinity. I think they have hit the bullseye on all targets. I'm 62 and haven't had this much fun since I had a 62' vette a long time ago. I have the 3.8 Track edition. If your looking for a sporty fun car you have to at least give this a look. If your still not sure don't forget to compare the warranty with other vehicles.
