Lovin' it!
2012 Sonata Limited with navigation package. The designer of this car clearly has spent more time driving cars than doodling in a sketchbook as the car is full of well thought out features that make a difference in the real world. The seats are comfortable over long distances, with the adjustable lumbar support for the driver's seat being very effective. If you cannot find a comfortable driving position in this car, you can't find a comfortable position in any car. The design of the center stack, between the audio/sat nav controls and the HVAC controls, is logical and quickly becomes intuitive; the "seated person" icon for directing airflow and the arrangement of the touch screen in particluar being clear and very usable. The navigation package shows a split screen at intersections, along with a moving vehicle icon so you can identify your turns even in areas closely spaced streets. All of the major controls - lighting, wipers, etc - work intuitivety, and the graphics on the information screen in the center and on the nav screen are a cut above what one would expect. Little details like heated rear seats, rear seat ventilation, and a ton of legroom make sitting in the back seat more than just a tolerable experience. The rear seat releases in the trunk (which is positively vast) are again simple and easily reached. Lots of storage space, sensibly located and realistically sized. The panoramic sunroof is flat out awesome. My car has the naturally aspirated engine, and while it's not a hot rod by any means it's plenty quick enough for daily use, and the car is velvety smooth above 1500 RPM. The only caveat I have is that, when the transmission is in ECO mode, the shift patterns change down as soon as possible, occasionally dropping the revs down a little too low. It took me a little while to get used to the throttle response, which is fairly quick, when coming out of the more linear throttle in my older Volvo. Overall, getting 24-25 MPG in the city and 30+ MPG on the highway all day long.

Highway cruiser
I live in Florida but go once or twice a year to central Indiana. Otherwise few miles. I needed a car for those long trips and did not want to pay a lot. I selected a Hyundai Sonata with all the bells and whistles and a 2.0 Turbo. It has plenty of power, corners very flat, turns smartly. It has a firm but comfortable ride. Mine has all the bells and whistles(power seats, heated front and rear, voice activated Nav, backup TV, blue tooth, etc) and cost a lot less than a similarly equipped cars in the same class. Mine is black on black with tinted windows. It looks and rides as good as any luxury autobahn cruisers. So far I am very pleased.

Love the Sonata
Haven't had the car too long but so far it exceeds my expectations. A tremendous value. I bought a Limited with Nav, heated fron and back seats, double sun roof, and all of the rest of goodies. Car is compfortable and the mileage is right on target - 25-26 around town and 35-37 on the highway. Love it.

Dissapointing Gas Mileage
I purchased a new Hyundai Sonata GLS in February 2012. This car looks great and drives very nice. I feel that their is excellent value for the money when purchasing the sonata and paying at or below invoice. My greatest dissapointment however, has been with the gas mileage! The car is advertised at 24 MPG city and 35 Highway. After 9 months and 6000 miles I can confirm that you will get 18-19 MPG driving in a city like los angeles. Also, I am not comfortable in the car for any trip longer than 25 minutes. The seats in the GLS have no lumbar support. Make sure to purchase the package with the power lumbar. Great car, but if you are not comfortable in the end what does it really matter. I would recommend a japanese car that gets better MPG in the same class.

2012 Sonata Limited 2.0T
I have had my 2012 Sonata since May incrediable car having traded a 2007 infinity M35 I am very impressed with the handeling of the car and the turbo gives effortless power when needed. It is a real joy to drive and is very comfortable on a long drive, I really enjoy the ultra view sunroof as it makes the interior light and open.

Another great Hyun. I have owned, since 1987
You, should drive cthe three diferent engines, V6 & 4cyl. & 4 cyl. with turbo, to see what U like! I choose the SE, with the4cyl. non-turbo. without the ECO button,on it moves pretty well!, push ON the ECO, {economy mode}, 4 better gas mileage, to me it loses a LOT of power, and with AC on ,not much better mpg. Here in S FL, we need AC almost every day! At least I do!! It's a great car & very reliable. I have, hadf 11 of them, since,1987 I Never, had a lemon! And service is about a 9, at KING in Deerfield Bch. And a 9 in Coconut Creek, Fl, both N. of Fort Lauderdale. drive them & see !!

Hundai Sonata GLS
I have proudly owned a 2012 Sonata GLS and couldn't be happier with the car. Comfort, interior styling and performance are superior compared to comparable cars in this class. no issue have been there from the get go however, e.g., a nice feature in an automatic collapsible rear sunscreen -I would recommend this car to a friend: Yes

Safety for the wife
My wife's old Saturn was running great, but the brakes were horrible. I was so fearful of it that I finally drug her to the Hyundai dealer. Having just bought my Elantra there a year ago they definitely wanted to work with me. So, I ended up with a very good deal on a new Sonata that had everything that the wife wanted and needed. Now we are both happy, but I am happier!!!
