Hyundai Veloster 2013.
Hyundai Veloster 2013. Would not make it to the 100 thousands mile. Engine crack put my Veloster to the finish line. Oil burning cause this front engine block to crack and the car became useless. When on for about 6 month for warranty coverage, but Hyundai did not honor the warranty for a new engine because at the end I did not maintained the last 2 oil changes and didn't have receipts but remember it was burning oil for 8 months.. Hyundai warranty is a scam. They give excuses not to honor the parts that they should honor. You will get tired going for oil burning measurements every 1000 mile for nothing. Stay away from Hyundai's they are selling pure crap. I will never buy a Hyundai or Kia in my life, 03/28/2025

Engine failed at 102K miles
Hyundai engines are failures. Car died at 102,000 miles. Hyundai says it’s not their issue. Anything to not admit they have a terrible, unreliable product. Very disappointing.

Warning
Bought used with about 70,000 miles, it has left my daughter stranded now for the 4th time is less than a year on the side of the road. Each time I’m told it is a safety feature that makes the car shut off and will have be be towed to the repair shop to get repaired. Each time they say it is regular maintenance that has cost over $1,000. Nothing is ever covered under warranty. Nothing was told at time of sale about this “safety” feature that just makes the car shut down. DO NOT buy this car. It might be cute but it will not be reliable. I am reporting as a lemon. Something needs to be done. Dealers need to be upfront about this but no one I have talked to has ever heard of this so called safety feature.

The worst car ever made!
Please I beg you don’t get this car. Bought it used with only 90,000 miles on it. There is motor recall on it that Hyundai will takes months to get it. I had this car for a year and only been able to drive it for 3 months because ever time I fix it, it breaks down again. Ive even broken down twice in one night! I’ve had on top of the motor transmission failure, battery and alternator ( I had to replace the alternator twice), among a whole list of other problems. Plus if your alternator goes out it’ll melt wires and blow fuses so you’ll have to replace not just the alternator but so much more. The road noise is horrible, it drives horrible it isn’t comfortable at all. If you hit a pot hole or go over rail road tracks it’s extremely loud and rough. Maybe a newer year will be better but stay away from this car it is the worst car I have ever own plus its expensive.

Don’t recommend
2013 have had nothing but trouble. Bought it for my daughter to have transportation. It has left her stranded on the side of the road 3 times within 3 months. Each time nothing is under warranty. The first time the car had just been inspected and it was a brake issue. That should have been found upon inspection but according to dealer it wasn’t a part of the inspection. $1200 later and 3 months later broken down again. We will see what they say this time. I am turning this in to the BBB because there shouldn’t be this many issues. They said there is a safety feature that the smallest thing will disable the car. I’m sorry but don’t leave a young person stranded. Never would I recommend this car to anyone. I don’t think I would recommend Hyundai at this point. Going with Toyota from now on.

Complications
My car is 2013 and has about 100,000 miles. I bought it with 5,000 miles on it. So far I have changed the ac knob 3 times. It won’t blow on 4. My air bag sensor has went out. Currently it is stuck in park. The shifter moves but it will not get out of park. I would never buy this car again.

Engine problems
Engine burns out, oil doesn't stay to the proper level. At 86,000 miles, that def shouldn't be a problem. Along with the filter, O2 sensor and several other problems.
