Preowned Jeep- great but few problems
I really love my Grand Jeep Cherokee Laredo (2000). I've only had a few problems and some brought on by me. I have had to replace the steering column because I turned into a parking spot without straighting up (column was jamed), and two flat tires (tires that came with jeep- lots of miles on them). Overall I love this vehicle! I have the leather interior and the seats are ultra comfortable- perfect for long travels. It's VERY spacious and fits 5 people very comfortably. Highly recommend!

Never again
I spent more money repairing my 2000 GC than any other vehicle I've ever owned. The radiator needs to be replaced every 12-18 months, made of plastic, cracks and opens at the seems in cold weather! Stiff and squeaky suspension in cold weather as well. Never again with a Chrysler product!!! And terrible fuel economy for a V6 :(

Jeep
I have owned my Jeep for 2 years now. I love it! I had to replace a few things, water pump and radiator fan. No biggie. I really enjoy how it rides. Definitely a keeper. :)

This Jeep is my Bread and Butter
I have the 4.0L Laredo version and I love it. The look of it just says "I want to go off-road" and knowing that it can go there is a great feeling. Minor repairs and touch-ups I'v noticed over these Jeeps include headlight lenses, paint on gas tank tends to fade, vehicle decals fade and grille tends to "bubble" and chip. The one major repair on it over it's 150,000 miles is a small generator which powers the cooling fan. These Jeeps are made with a small electric motor generator for the fan, instead of the typical fan belt-powered. They tend to break and need replaced every 2 years or so. The engine tends to overheat if they are not replaced. Roomy interior with a agrea ride in the suspension. THESE ARE GREAT IN THE SNOW. A MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE IN THE NORTHEAST!

the worth car ever owned
First of all the Brakes lock up, all jeeps have same problem, the ABS Motor sticks the front/rear calipers are very low quality,The calipers bleeding screws do not sit properly on the ports. you can chake them with your hands. Engine oil leaks head gasket. Door hinges and struts supports for the Hood and Back lid too weak. The A/C Vents specially the front passenger side has very low air flow. the overall air distribution is the worlds worth. suspension front and rear chock upper support washers make noise when going over speed bumps very poor designed. Vehicle IS very unstable at speeds over 65 mph on the Hwy condition, definitely not a touring vehicle. Cooling system The Fan blade desintegrated at 60,000 miles puncturing the radiator and the fan shroud. I stoped and turned the engine off when it Happen preventing the car from overheating and blowing the engine and the A/C unit. the vehicle has out of pocket expenses on the 60,000 mile line in mechanical repairs alone $4,265.00 plus road service.

Great car
Owned one for 2+ years only reason it was sold was to buy a new one. Visualy pleasing and versital enough to handle trips to the hardware store to pick up lumber and the capibility of handling inclamit weather. A must own if you live in the North East.

Awesome On/Off Road SUV
I purchased this SUV in 2004 used. I love the 4-wheel drive and the ground clearance is great. On road I feel as if I'm driving a car more than a truck. Which is good. Cargo room is great as well as the full size spare now under the rear cargo floor instead of inside the cargo area unlike the previous generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. The only thing I wish was that I gone with the V8 instead of the I-6. Horsepower is a little on the low side for me, but on the good side gas mileage is ok, considering it is a SUV. No other SUV can match Jeep's off-road prowess.

Do Your Research - I Regret I Didn't
If this car were purchased new it would be a true lemon! Thank goodness we purchased the extended warranty because we have had multiple problems with this vehicle over the past 3 years, including having it towed at least 3 times because it just stopped working, the transmission has been replaced twice, among many, many other things. Totally unreliable and thousands of dollars has been put into it for mechanical repairs. I love the shape/size and look of the Jeep, but they are so cheaply made - Jeep just does not seem to care about quality. Now that the extended warranty has expired and the fact that the car is now shaking when I go 45 mph, it is time to get rid of this nightmare!
