More Compliments on my Jeep than my red Mercedes!
My brother bought a brand new Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimited in Philadelphia and then moved to San Francisco the same year. He wanted to sell the Jeep after he left but I told him I would use it for our business. I own a super cute red Mercedes Benz but after driving the Jeep as a second car I started receiving compliments from tons of random strangers and people I know! Just about every valet person who parked the Jeep always made nice comments too. People love those Made in USA Jeeps! A few weeks after driving it I told my brother how much people comment on how awesome it is. He said, "did you get the Jeep wave?" I said, "is THAT why all those people keep waving at me?!!" We laughed. Awesome, durable ride! Highly recommended.

Good value for a cheap off-road vehicle
Very good value for the money if used primarily off road, in its original shape; it will take more of a pounding without a lift and big tires but it will get to the same destination as a lifted rig. Otherwise, the engine is a joke and the fuel consumption double what it would be from the 2.5 liter turbo-diesel used in most mil-spec variants. For the $70k+ my Unlimited Rubicon with the JK350 AEV package cost, there are far nicer mall crawlers that have air suspensions, ventilated seats, an actual engine under the hood and so on... As mine was equipped, it only took superficial dings to the trail armor over some 10,000 miles of trails from 2-3 to 7-8. The Unlimited Rubicon serves as a family trail running rig and it did the job well enough that my son grew up on off road trails. With a hitch basket for 10+ gallons of fuel, the AEV 10 gallon caddy, and a full tank, it even made it to the farthest reaches of Utah's national parks and monuments and came back out on its own fumes. However, upgraded to a decent engine and 38-40 inch tires the Rubicon will come in at 100,000 to 150,000 which is very close to the price of a Unimog without the reliability, engine and transfer case of a Unimog. It is also a little more expensive than a fully loaded Gelandewagen, but there is no budget version of the G-wagen so there is value for the money unless you are looking at building a big Wrangler rig.

Very good SUV, totally worth it
The Jeep is awesome, even though I was a bit skeptical because I'm a mom now and was not sure if this SUV would suit my needs but it totally does. Super fun to drive and The space is perfect for my family. The only thing I might complain is the comfort of the seats as it can get uncomfortable on long drives but Overall fantastic SUV. Definitely recommend it.

I didn't buy this for comfort
Everyone knows the Jeep Wrangler is the poster child for "utility" in Sports Utility Vehicle. Not a lot of creature comforts, harsh ride and below average handling, gas mileage and reliability. However, I bought this car to go off road and for that there is nothing better. I have not been disappointed in its off road ability, as a matter of fact I am pleasantly surprised at how well it does yet provides an acceptable ride on pavement. There are 1000's of after market products available for this vehicle and you can make it as capable as you want. Why do people keep buying this vehicle that is so lowly rated by Consumer's report? Because no other vehicle on the road offers its combination of off road ability, modification choices and livable on road manners. I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone who does not plan on going off road on a regular basis.

Nothing like a Jeep Wrangler
It only took a minute to fall in love with this vehicle. I admit it's not the most comfortable ride on the interstate, but anywhere else it's not only fun but makes you feel untouchable.
