Reliable & Beauty all in one

Plenty of leg room. Seats a very comfortable and I love the lumbar in the passenger seat and being able to move the passenger set up and down. I used to drive Crown Vicks which are very comfortable. I rate this to be as smooth and as comfortable as the Crown Vick. The exterior is sheer beauty.

Best car I have owned

So comfortable even on long trips. Handles beautifully in swift moving or congested traffic. Feel completely safe in my car. Love all the safety features she has too. My sister-in-law said I had one more new car in me and I chose the Kia.

Most reliable car I've owned.

This car met all my needs. The test drive was too smoothe, that's why I purchased it. It was just too good to be true. Decided that this is my choice of a car. It made me look sexy.

Do not purchase any Kia model.

I bought my 2016 Kia Optima LX brand new on October 25, 2016. This car was still wrapped in plastic upon pickup from me and had 5 miles on it. Almost a year later, the car has 14,755 miles on it. During that time the oil has been changed per manufacture recommendations and the tires have been rotated every time it goes for an oil change, just so that isn't forgotten and poses no problem in the future. At the first oil change, 4,600 miles. The car had it's first inspection. Already out of alignment, needs the tires rebalanced because apparently they had thrown the weights off some time from when it was new, and the oil plug was cracked. This was all manufacture issues and with the car being under warranty, fixed all issues with no problems. 3,000 miles later, the car develops a famous shutter when you are at a stop light and you let off of the brake before you accelerate. This is an unknown issue from most Kia products, the dealer even let me drive a new one to prove it was "normal," was told to return if it worsens, which in time it has. Problems with the engine being super noisy as the car is broken in, the transmission is very choppy and jerky but overall better than purchasing a car with a CVT in it, and also problems known to Kia for smoking black smoke and having a valve chatter. Oh the famous Kia blackened tail pipes. No matter what Kia you see, no matter how new of one, any chrome or finished exhaust pipe will be covered in soot, and solid black, sometimes even the back of the bumper is covered depending on what color car you have depends on how noticeable. Kia tells me that this is because with being GDI, the can not withstand the amount of ethanol in the fuel, and if you live in the United States of America, unless you are willing to drive into the middle of no where and pay $5 a gallon, having ethanol in gas is inevitable. Kia says this is nothing fixable, you just have to deal with it. It may not seem like an issue to you, but notice your car if you accelerate hard, it will blow a considerable amount of black "smoke" out of the back of it. This makes you question how the engine and components of the car will do in the long run. Now to move on to the interior, little fragile pieces of the car. The first thing that will break in these and I will guarantee it, because I work will multiple people that also own this car, it is very popular, is the slide over the mirror for the sun visor. If you are still under warranty no big deal, it will be replaced and covered. But I never use it maybe 1 or 2 times a month and I have had 2 drivers sun visors. Things like power window motors and the switches are famous for breaking in these cars due to the cheap quality, and the best part of Kia is with them being mostly made in Korea and just ASSEMBLED in the USA, parts are ALWAYS on back order for them. It is July 2017, the right rear window motor is burnt up (I have no idea why, I am single with no kids and no one rides back there) and the Kia dealership locally told me that part is on backorder until April 2018. Don't expect parts to come in in any reasonable time. Also the number one issue to keep in mind with these cars. Kia and Hyundai are both the same company, so this applies to both. You may notice that if you buy brand new and pay around $29,000 for a new Optima, expect the value to drop to $16,000 within 6 months. Kia does not hold value and neither does Hyundai because they are a newer upcoming brand in the United States that is just now earning a reputation and recovering from their old cars such as the Kia Sephia. Overall if you are not a picky person and you put less than 10,000 miles a year on a car, don't plan on trading before you are paid off, and could care less about dirty exhaust pipes, go for it. But if you want something that will hold up in the long run and you can drive it way past it being paid off, DO NOT PURCHASE A KIA. Do your research, compare prices, and don't let that "10 year/100,000 mile" warranty fool you. The warranty is very hard to deal with if you have an issue. Don't put yourself in a hassle just because it looks pretty and you can get a super good deal on one less than a year old. It's not worth it comparing to other mid-sized family sedans.

Great Car for 1st Time Buyer - Not Too Expensive

The car is overall great. Just not as powerful as I would like. Very spacious and comfortable. Great gas mileage. I am a sports car guy, so this would be great for someone who doesn't care about speed.
