This was my first new car purchase, and after owning it for 1 year I have had zero complaints. I have the base LX (Fe) model, and for a base car it is excellent. Test drove the Accord, Mazda 6, and Toyota Camry before this and this was my favorite. Power is enough for daily driving, even more than I expected from the base 2.4L. Sound quality is awesome once you adjust the EQ, and the ride is quiet and very comfortable. Have had zero issues so far. Love this car. I've gotten many compliments on the looks even (black exterior with beige interior, tinted windows). Highly recommend.

After owning car for almost a year leather seat is wearing on edge, I don't think it should wear so fast paint is bubbling from under trying to work out this issue now waiting for corporate answer. car has 9000 miles. Dealership ship's don't seem to be very friendly or interested in my issues

The optima is a nice car. The pick up is very slow, you could put it in sports mode but it sounds like your stuck in a gear. There's days that it doesn't start or struggles too but the dealer can't find anything wrong with it, dealing with that. Also it's rough at shifting gears. There's a lot of jerks or high reeves

This car gets great gas mileage and is a great deal! It has few shortcomings, but a couple are cheap interior handles, poor acceleration, and seat material. (lowest trim model)

This car met all my needs. It's spacious, smooth, easy to manage, great on gas, and stylish. If you are looking for a car the Kia Optima is the way to go! You would not be disappointed you will be very satisfied and happy with this car!

I currently own this car and have driven it about 6k miles. I was originally going to buy a 320i BMW. At the end of the day I couldn't pass up on saving about 20 k in total price. Make no mistake the Kia is not a BMW but I believe for the money and all the bells and whistles included at 36k I would have to get an almost 60k 3 series. Also knowing I won't spend thousands of dollars on expensive service brings a lot peace of mind. Give this car a try it won't disappoint I have the sxl and love the car design and is a fun drive.
