This is my 2nd Soul & I love this one even more. The turbo is such a kick, fun to drive. Latest technology is great. I got Inferno Red & it's gorgeous. Lots for a great price.

Super Fun Car

I love all the features on the 2020 Kia Soul with Turbo that I purchased. The interior is comfortable and very entertaining to my grandchildren who sit in the spacious back seats. My only issue is with the take-off from a stand still. It seems there is a hesitation before getting into gear and going. Dealership could find nothing wrong with the vehicle so I'm stuck with the problem. It's not that big of a problem through. I figure it makes me adhere to the "2-second rule" (wait 2 seconds before preceding through a green light if you are the first car in line).

Most reliable mini SUV on the market

Having owned a Soul for many years it is the most reliable vehicle I've owned. The new S model has great safety features normally found only on vehicles costing a lot more money. Very handy for a person my age.

Safety & Reliability For A Budget Price

I purchased the 2020 Soul S after months of review. My decision was based on wanting a reasonably priced vehicle with minimal safety features (Blind Spot Warning, Front Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist) and probably a few others I haven't figured out yet. These features are included in the S trim (second least expensive), but surprisingly are not included in all of the higher trims. That said, some of the higher trims have even more safety features. I also wanted a vehicle that I didn't have to bend down to get into/out of. No, the Soul isn't a full-fledged SUV; you'd even have trouble arguing it's a crossover, but at least you don't have to bend to get into/out of it. The CVT transmission is the secret sauce in this car. Here's why: The 147 HP 2.0 Litre engine is, let's be real, ho-hum. I have the same engine in my 2013 Hyundai Accent SE h/b with a 6 speed m/t. The engine is great when the car is traveling at highway speed (and gives great MPGs). However, it's "aspirational" at best when starting from a stop. The CVT manages to perfectly harness the available horsepower and makes this car shine. Unlike my 2013 Accent, it has no hesitation merging onto a freeway or passing another vehicle - even though the Soul is 1,000 lbs heavier. Note that the gas mileage (up to 33 MPG highway) is pretty impressive for a vehicle weighing 4,000 lbs. No complaints, although I'll admit purchasing the S trim (at a great price point) involved many trade-offs/compromises. For instance, for the first time in years, I now have a car without fog lights, heated mirrors, turn signal indicators in the mirrors, a privacy cover for the hatchback, Sirius radio capability, etc. Little things that are available only on higher level trims at considerably higher price points. I did my homework so there were no surprises--I knew that I would be giving up these features before purchasing but decided I could live without them. The 60/40 split back seat is comfortable for 3 adults but lacks cup holders or a folding center armrest in the S trim. As for reliability, this is my third new car purchase from the Kia/Hyundai family. I've never had a problem and appreciate the incredible 10 yr/100,000 mile power train warranty. With a warranty this good, why would you even think of buying an extended warranty? IMO, I don't see the need for one when purchasing a new Kia/Hyundai.

Exceptional value!

After owning my 2011 Kia Soul I was sold on value and reliability. The 2020 S model has a more powerful engine, sportier exterior, and quieter ride. Fun to drive in the city and on the highway.
