Blown Away by Mazda
I recently purchased a 2007 Mazda 3s 5 Door, and I am absolutely in love with this car. It's one of those cars that you just can't wait to drive. I keep looking for excuses to have to go out just so I can drive the car. People should know that the Mazda 3 has a more stiff ride then the Mazda 6. The 3 is more of a performance series and the suspension is tuned a little tighter to handle turns and things like that. Not everyone likes that, I personally love it. It makes the car feel very sporty and solid. If you're looking for a more "floating on air" type ride, you might like the Mazda 6 better. Some people find the car uncomfortable, I do not share that opinion. The seat contour is perfect for me, and provides good lower lumbar support as well as cushions under the legs. The interior layout is nice, it's easy to find everything and it looks very sporty and modern. The only problem I have is the lack of MP3 compatibility from the audio system, but this is now standard in the 2008 and 2009 models. The car does however have an aux jack in the console for an I-Pod if that is a deal breaker for anyone. The best feature though is probably the exterior style of the 5 door. I have people at drive though windows ask me "wow, what kind of car is that?" I get compliments on it all the time, the car is beautiful. Mine is "Galaxy Grey" with the premium wheels. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a fuel efficient, fun to drive car. I haven't tried the automatic, but the 5 speed model has a lot of power and takes off VERY fast.

Nice car needs a facelift
I enjoy my Mazda3 but Mazda really needs to update the vehicle internally, externally and add some much needed features like Bluetooth.

Nice ride for $20,000
I purchased my Mazda 3 s-tour June 2007. My budget for a new car was roughly $20,000 which does not give you much car. After researching compact sedans on Consumer Reports the Mazda 3 seemed to be the best option. So far I've been very impressed. I'm 6'4" so was quickly impressed by the roominess the car had when I got in drivers seat. The cars interior was actually pretty nice and did not have the cheesiness of a Corolla (probably the closest competitor). I do have to agree with another reviewer my foot is 13 inches and sometimes find it difficult to avoid applying gas and brake at the same time. The Satellite radio was an extra $500 for install but well worth it. I was able to negotiate into my purchase but you can also go to Best Buy and spend about a fifth of dealer install. I paid extra for the service package which includes oil changes, etc. at dealership which is nice. Overall, I am very satisfied with the car. Only negatives are tire pressure light goes on in cold weather, car is not as good on gas as expected, and the GPS navigation system was only available in the Grand Tour package.

Love the car, BUT.........
I love my mazda3 but with 25,000 miles and only 9 months old it developed terrible road noise. The tires are showing excessive wear and the front right had a busted belt. We took the car to the mazda dealership and were basicly told "tuff luck" The parts guy said that his mazda had 50,000 miles and he was on his 3rd set of tires and mazda wouldn't do anything about it. We were going to give our 3 to our daughter and by a 6, but not now!!

Bang for the buck
This is the best value out there. Compare to the honda civic in power and handling, features for the price and it cannot compete. No other car gives all the features like traction and stability control, steering wheel audio controls and a stereo for the money. A very torquey engine for a 4-cyl, and sharp handling charecteristics. A much quieter cabin than most others in the class.

looks expesive but isn't it's also economical
car is quiet until you plant your right foot then it comes alive, this vehicle especially the 2.3 has plenty of acceleration. Car and Driver posted 0-60 time of 7.3 second and i can believe that. With the 5 speed manual. The only complaint that i have about this car is if you have a size 12 shoe or bigger you might hit the brake pedal along with gas pedal once in awhile.

Another Mazda 3S
I loved my 2005 Mazda 3s hatchback which was standard (reminded me of a mini Lexus 330. But due to travel requirements, traded it in for a 2007 Mazda 3s - Automatic. The thing I can't understand: why doesn't the Mazda have a trunk release feature???? The road noise in the 2007 is just as equal as the 2005. But I noticed w/the automatics that the car has a slight vibration while idle (like it needs a tune up), but if I put it in Neutral, the vibrating went away - probably just an "automatic" trans thing. Those are my only complaints - love the pick up and comfort (the hatchback is roomier and more wide though). If I had to get another, I'd go back to the hatchback...will someone please talk w/those designers? I mean even the Toyota has the auto trunk release!

I look for reasons to drive it
I bought my Mazda 3 GT hatch about a month ago and still can't wait to get in and drive it during the day. I honestly haven't ever had a car that I liked to drive this much. I used to have a 96 Honda Civic that was fun to drive and my last 99 Honda Civic wasn't bad either but my 3 is much more entertaining. I suppose it a fresh break from not having much upfront power on the Hondas. The throttle is very responsive. Recently, and foolishly, I bought a 2007 Cobalt. These 2 cars are like night and day.

Amazing Value
There is a reason why this car is rated as one of the highest compact cars on the market. The exterior styling sets this car above and beyond in just one glance. The interior is filled with state of the art gadgets and the color scheme of the interior lightings is amazing, especially at night. This car handles great, is very comfortable and I have no complaints.

First New Car and I Love It!
Great value for a car - small, efficient, but packed with features and great performance. I love the styling - exterior & interior - and it stands out of the crowd in a good way. The handling and performance are great yet it gets pretty good gas mileage. It also has great safety features (at higher trim levels) like front & side/curtain airbags, traction & stability control, 4 disc brakes, and ABS. It is small yet has a very good amount of space and storage flexibility. I would definitely buy it again even with more cash at my disposal - and I would definitely recommend it!
