2007 Nissan Altima consumer reviews

A few days ago unfortunately I was involved in an accident with an 07' escalade. I was hit from the side by the vehicle going over 50 mph on the drivers side and walked out of the car scratch-less. If I was in either of my other cars I think i would of been seriously injured. If you are looking for a reliable, great, and most importantly safe car, this is the way to go.

Well, I traded my 05 GTO for the keys of an 07 Nissan Altima due to a baby on the way and all I can say is WOW. The interior is very roomy with alot of head and leg room and a great amount of places to stash your extra belongings(wallet,mp3,cell phone). Even though the power is uncompairable to a 6.0L v8 GTO it was way more then I ever expected from a 3.5L V6. My first vehicle was an old Maxima and Nissan really makes some reliable cars. Combine that with some nice interior and head turning stlye and you have one great car.

Nissan did not know how to install a NIssan automatic start and took apart the interior of the car. Since then there have been problems with the lights on the dash. Two recalls, air filter might go on fire and something with the key. Very dissapointed as I loved my first Altima.

i cannot say much on reliability, as i have only driven it for 3 days, but i bought a fully loaded 3.5 SL with the tech package, nav, xm radio, bluetooth, etc. The navigation is very easy to use, and it is my first navigation system, i am coming out of a 2002 bonneville, the ride is very solid in this car, and even with the 16" SL wheels it is still a nice handling car, steering feedback is a bit numb, but maybe that is because the wheel doesn't shake and bump like the pontiac, but good seats, speed, and cvt isn't as bad as i thought it would be

I've owned the car two months now and I'm highly impressed. I bought the 2.5S and the power the CVT transmission is unbelievable, this car is so fast, I couldn't imagine what the 3.5 is like! I'm a big guy and this car is really comfortable to me, which surprised me since I've been driving full size pick up trucks for 16 years. In fact, I will probably keep this car for about a year or two and trade it for the 350Z since I'm having so much fun with it.

Within the first 2,400 mi., my Altima has been in the shop for the replacement of a faulty air bag sensor and passenger seat sensor. I have been told that the parts are on back order. Have had to wait for two weeks. The dealership will not release my car to me until the parts arrive as to do so would make Nissan liable in case of an accident which I understand. I have been given a loaner. The service manager told me that this is not an uncommon problem. Has anyone else had this problem? if so, let me know. Otherwise the car is great, at lease for the time that it hasn't been at the dealership.

Altima 2.5S - New exterior styling is great. 2.5 has enough power to get you around town, but it struggles a little if you try to really push it. Don't try to race the 3.5. CVT is great, no issues. Manumatic works, but shifts slow and only by 1K at a time, so it really doesn't serve much purpose. So far I'm getting 26 mpg around the suburbs. Of course the fuel gauge if offset so warning lights come on when you have 4-5 gallons left, not a problem, just a little annoying. New keyless entry system works well, I never take the fob out of my pocket. Still confuses valets. Interior is clean and functional. A few squeaks when you catch a big bump, otherwise fit and finish is great. Cloth seating is ok, I prefer the cloth I had in my 05 Frontier, but the seats are comfortable and driver adjusts to accomodate all drivers, I'm 6'5" and my wife is 5'6". Good cabin space 4 adults easily, 5 if you're not going too far. Trunk space is good, golf clubs fit with no issues plus other bags. Exterior looks great, wish they would have had alloy wheels on base model instead of the steelies. The new VW style wipers are nice, no freezing up in the winter anymore. Overall I'd say it is a great car for the money and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced midsize.

Honestly, this car is one of the nicest looking on the road. The exterior and interior are excelent. On a long drive, however, the seats are not very comfortable at ALL. It would be nice if better seats with more lower back support were offered with the base model. The 4 cylinder motor sounds like a lawnmower...which is OK if this doesn't bother you. The v6 is a better drive IMO.

I ACTUALLY TEST DROVE IT WHILE MY CAR WAS IN THE SHOP IN APRIL I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT 2 WEEKS LATER 2007 ALTIMA IT'S COMFORTABLE AND THE BEST IS IT'S KEYLESS

I just bought this 2007 Altima 2.5 S three days ago and both my wife and I are impressed with its performance and styling. It would have been better if one could be able to select specific options without having to buy the "mandatory packages".
