I wanted to like this truck, I really did. Bottom line is I spent 13,000 on it and only got 7,000 miles out of it before the coolant contaminated and destroyed my transmission, leaving my wife and 1 year old stranded on the side of a busy freeway for 2 hours. Since this happend during our move out of state we had to junk the vehicle. And that is what the frontier turned out to be: junk.

Great City Truck

I got this truck before I went off to college. It helped me and my friends move multiple times and was reliable in the commute back home on the weekends. From there it took me into my full time job as an engineering technician where it got me in and out of multiple job sites. Finally it took me into buying my first home and all of the projects that come with home ownership. This was the best vehicle for me during this period of my life. I highly recommend this truck to anyone that is doing light duty work and wants a vehicle with great utility.

Love driving it. But very dissapointed.

Bought it at small dealership. Bought three year warranty at 900.00. Not a year into owning it my tranny went. Insurance would not cover the expense because antifreeze leaked into the tranny. It seems to be a common problem with frontiers and x terras. It cost me 3600 dollars to rebuild tranny.so much for extra insurance. I'm going to be selling it . Be very careful when buying extra insurance on used vehicle. Lubrico is the insurance I bought for nothing. Thanks lubrico. You duck.

Strong as a V8!

Take care of your truck and it will take care of you. Head room on entry is a bit tight, but much better than the competition.

Great truck

We downsized for gas and mileage. Not quite as comfortable as the larger truck but a good fit overall. Our truck is used primarily for hunting.

Realy nice truck for the money

For a little truck, it has an almost full sized bed. Nice V-6 motor with plenty of pep. 4 wheel drive is "turn knob" and enough power to pull a boat or 20' camper

Very Reliable

Have owned Nissan trucks since 1990, all of them have been very reliable. Nice styling, good looking trucks. Not lots of bells and whistles and a little heavy on the fuel consumption.
