Caveat Emptor

$7200 for a new radiator and transmission at 84,000 miles. This is one of 3 vehicles that have had this problem in the Laramie Wyoming area. No one at local or national level can explain why it happened. Local and National Customer service agree that I did nothing wrong to the vehicle, but national Customer Service refuses to help because I did not get all of my service done at an authorized dealership. If you choose to buy a Nissan, make sure you get extended warranty and do all service at dealership, regardless of what they tell you.

2007 Nissan Frontier Review

At first I was hesitant about owning a "mid size" truck, but once I drove it I was hooked on the powerful 4.0 6 cyl! I use it to haul a little trash and pull my 5x8 enclosed trailer to flea markets and estate sales. It packs all the power I need and more all while letting me comfortably navigate.

Great Truck

I bought this truck back in 08 living in Maine and having friends who all have big trucks I took a chance. Boy am I glad I did, I love getting this truck off road full of buddies (all of which have big trucks) and they say "wow I cant believe this truck just did that". Every chanllenge I have thrown at it this truck has eaten it up and spit it out. It's awesome in the snow to, its actually fun passing everyone in their Chevy's Ford's and Dodge's at 50 mph in a foot of snow. I put a aftermarket exhaust on it and the Nismo cold air intake and noticed a huge diffrence, although it can be very loud at higher rpm. If you dont like that sort of thing I wouldnt recommend it but if you want lots more power for relatively cheap it's worht it. All around awesome truck and I feel ill be driving it for a long time.

Nissan Frontier

Best exterior styling/design in the mid-size class, reliable performance and sports car-like power, some interior aspects lack quality and comfort. Overall, very good value.

Great Truck

Purchased this truck for long trips. Have a LE with a long bed and normally pack it full. The bed divider is a great idea. The leather seats are very comfortable and the driving position is good for drivers 6ft and above on long trips. Fuel economy of 23 mpg on the highway is attainable at 70 mph or lower. The turning radius is poor. Fit and finish is good and I have not had any issues with paint. Dealer support is suspect and I use an independent for maintenance that I cannot do myself. The truck has 39,000 miles and is going strong.

Great Truck with 1 Major Flaw

This truck is the perfect size, power, fuel economy...everything. It has the feel of a much bigger vehicle, something my Colorado lacked. But I am having a terrible problem with the paint coming off the bed at the very front behind the cab. The dealer made an effort to correct the problem after 6 months. It was repainted and chip gaurd was applied. Now after a little more than a year from when it was new, the paint is coming off in chunks, exposing bare metal and rust! I am cuurently fighting with Nissan as they consider this normal wear and tear.(Until I turn in the lease I suspect.)

Lots of power for a mid size truck.

Very powerful 261HP V6. Lots of torque. Tows with ease. Spacious back seat (Crew Cab). Spray-in bed liner & utili-track is very handy.

Best truck Ive ever purchased

I have a 2007 Frontier NISMO crew cab. I needed a vehicle to fit a 2 year old in the back, yet I still needed the function of a pick up. The Frontier really is the best of both worlds. I feel like I am driving a Pathfinder, or very comfortable SUV inside, while I have the exterior function of a rugged pickup. The NISMO has Billstein shocks and sits slightly higher than a normal Frontier. I expected it to ride a little rougher because of this. However, the ride quality is exceptional. Better than my 1998 F150 or my 2002 Chevy 1500, or even my wifes Jeep Cherokee. It is just unbelievably comfortable. The 261hp V6 has plenty of power to spare when needed. It is quieter than other trucks I test drove, for those mentioning sound. The NISMO exhaust adds a strong sound to it when accelerating. Very appealing. The mileage could be better, but all pickups seem to get horrid mileage. I cant isolate that just to the Frontier. With 95% of my driving on backroads doing 30-45 in NJ, I get 15mpg regularly. It has been very durable, and I have yet to have to perform any maintenance besides oil changes. I couldnt be more impressed with the durability of this truck. Both my Ford and Chevy seemingly needed repair every 3-6 months. 4wd on this truck is also better than the other pickups I have owned. I was in New Hampshire 2 weeks ago, and got to test 4wd in the snow for the first time. I was very impressed. The rear end didnt slide as much as other pickups, and I was able to get good grab even going uphill on rocky terrain. Overall, I couldnt be more pleased with my Nissan. Which, coming from a "Buy American" kind of guy is a ringing endorsement. This is my first foreign vehicle, and I am happily suprised.

Great Truck

Recently traded in my Chevy because of bad product/customer support issues..and I cant tell you enough how happy I am with this truck. very powerful and smooth. blows aways all the competition...interior design and dashboard could've been done better but hey, thats really nothing to complain about. Gas mileage is ok, with technology nowadays, you think they could squeeze more per gallon, but that would probably compromise the power so I should'nt compain about that either....overall it is a great truck!
