Amazing Safety Features!!
It is great for my family of 5. With three kids having the extra space, cup holders, and USB ports it makes it definitely a great family vehicle! Plus it has awesome safety features!

Great investment
I've been eagerly awaiting Subaru to release their largest vehicle with a third-row seat. I couldn't be happier with my investment. The Ascent exceeds my expectations, from the roomy interior, the extreme safety features, to the hidden hitch (add-on but worth it) I continue to find perks that amaze me. The vehicle is beautiful inside and out with plenty of room even in the third row. Almost all Subaru's are AWD, however, a new perk is the x-mode which allows the driver to continue to press on the gas (engaging the AWD) while the car is braking multiple times per second - perfect for steep, shaky roads covered in gravel or ice. Blind spot alert, a camera for over full vehicles, lane keep, and eye-sight are just some of the safety features. The amazing moon/sunroof is a stargazers dream and perfect for cool mornings. Heated first and second row seats, cooled first row seats, and a heated steering wheel make this car everything I've wanted in a luxury SUV. To top it all off it is priced perfectly and is affordable to most active families. Thank you, Subaru for making my dream car!

Amazing so far!
Best thing about this vehicle is the SPACE! I have the Premium edition with middle bench. Fits three kids very well, the third row down you have a ton of cargo space, even with the third bench up still has a decent amount of room. Everything runs well, love the features. My only complaint about it, is the CVT not acting like a CVT, it simulates gear shifts which I find to be a bit off and unnatural. Otherwise love it!

Dream come true!
I reluctantly traded in my Outback for a 3rd row Chevy vehicle before the Ascent was ever announced. I immediately had regrets. As soon as the Ascent was available at my Subie dealership, it was mine! For size, it's between a Chevy Traverse and a Dodge Journey so it's right on par with 3rd row vehicles. Gas mileage is better. It's more fun to drive. The safety features will blow your mind then you'll be pissed that other auto makers aren't making the same features standard on their own vehicles! It drives like a Forester with the luxury of an Outback. I'll never drive anything but a Subaru ever again!

Not Impressed
This vehicle lacks a wow factor. The design and interior are plain and not very attractive. When I drove the vehicle, the first thing I noticed is the steering is overly sensitive. Too sensitive in fact, there is absolutely no road feel and it was difficult to maintain a straight line. This is not typical of Subarus and am very surprised Subaru would allow this unsafe steering. For a vehicle this size, a 4 cylinder engine just does not cut it. Under normal acceleration, the vehicle is under powered. The salesman said this vehicle could tow 5,000 lbs.. Between the poor steering and being under power, it would not be safe to even attempt to tow anything with this vehicle. This vehicle falls very short of being a competitor to the other SUVS on the road. Mediocre at best, definitely. It a $40,000 vehicle!

Awesome Bang for your buck
The car with fast from the start and very quiet ones going .... it handled well and my vision was very good ... I am 6?3? and I had plenty of legroom and head room .. I even fit in the third row with the seat reclined slightly .... it seems like Subaru has a winner ..
