1st ever Subaru

So far I only have about 800 miles on the car but it has been so fun to drive I did a lot of research and had test driven every car in the three row market before stumbling on the ascent I was all but set to purchase the Honda Pilot elite. I happen to see the ascent came with a 4 cylinder and that turned me off until I gave a test drove wow really amazed how well it?s put together and safety features on all trim levels with awd I fell in love with the limited trim (to me the best bang for your buck) it being a first run car I did also purchase a extended warranty and still came in under the Pilot elite. Had a great dealer experience and so far have truly enjoyed my first Subaru!!

Great car

I got this car because I wanted more room for my child and our 3 dogs. Has plenty of room for everything we need. Even having people sit in the 3rd row there is still ample leg room. Lots of power also with the turbo.

Safe, stylish and spacious!!

We are loving our new 2019 Subaru Ascent! Exactly what we were looking for and don't regret paying a little more for the higher trim level!

Best vehicle I?ve driven

This new SUV is so comfortable, and so easy to drive. All the bells and whistles are there, yet the controls are so simple to understand, which was important to me. It?s not too big, and not too small for a family SUV.

Most quality vehicle I have ever owned

This car is very spacious and drives very smoothly. It has a lot of power, is fuel efficient, and has amazing safety features. The technology in this vehicle surpassed my expectations. The vehicle is not only safe and reliable, it has a very attractive exterior and interior. There was a lot of thought put into the details of this vehicle.

my thoughts

The steering wheel is too small. I can not stand the cream interior scalelike door pieces...which apparently is standard. I dislike it so much I am not sure if I want one, it is cheap looking and tacky. The steering seems a little squirrelly on my test drive. I am a Subaru fan, and love my outback, also needing a new vehicle soon. So, I?m torn as to what I want to do.

The Best Subaru Yet!

Absolutely LOVE this vehicle. Drove a Honda Odyssey for 10 years and loved the room it had but now need AWD or 4WD for driving in Montana. Since there was only 1 minivan with AWD available, I decided to get out of the "mom mini-van" mode and look for a SUV. Looked at Honda's but decided to wait for the Subaru Ascent since they seem to be doing the best in most ratings (where Honda used to be 10-15 years ago.) I am so glad I waited for the Ascent. Its almost like a cross between a Merecedes SUV and a Chevy Silverado. Almost all the things that I wanted from the Merecedes and Silverado(that my friends have) are in my Ascent plus the bonus of Subaru's reliability and an affordable price. With Subaru's history, I know there won't be any problems when wintertime comes around. Life is timing, and luckily mine was good this time.

Impressed with performance

We test drove the Ascent in case we ever need 3rd row seats. I was very impressed with the performance from the small engine for such a big vehicle. The Touring version has some neat features like the rear view mirror that converts into a rear camera in case you have cargo blocking rear visibility. The ride was very smooth and the power was effortless. The interior felt very comfortable and rear passengers appeared to have plenty of the room. The one downside is limited cargo space due to 3rd row. Overall, if we decide we need a vehicle with a 3rd row this is the model we would purchase or lease!

Excellent for drivers of all sizes

Although we just recently purchased the Ascent I wanted to post this review to make others aware that this vehicle is great for drivers of all sizes. I?m 6?-10? and my wife is 5?-1?. Both of us are able to find driving positions that are very comfortable. We have the panoramic moon roof and I believe I have the most headroom in this vehicle that I?ve ever had in any car I?ve owned. Leg room for me is very good. The extendable seat cushion provides me with thigh support that I?ve never had in any other car. My wife is able to sit close enough to operate the pedals while at the same time remaining a safe distance away from the steering wheel and airbag. Overall it?s a good fit for both of us and we?re looking forward to owning it for many years to come.
