Fun to drive

I enjoy this car - it has plenty of power for daily driving and handles very well. I don't like the touch screen audio, but you get used to it. I also use a seat cushion for long drives, but the seats are ok. The gas mileage is great.

I love this car.

I’m not a car expert but I love my crossstrek and I plan to drive it until it gives out or I do, whichever comes first.

I wouldn’t buy it again

I’ve owned this car in the Adirondacks of NY and the northern part of Texas, so I’ve been able to really drive this car in all kinds of weather for almost 3 years. It did just ok in the mountains, and equally just ok in Texas. It wasn’t as powerful as I’d hoped when trekking through the snow. It fishtails a bit, and I’ve gotten stuck more than once when sliding into a snowbank in times I should’ve easily been able to pull myself out of the slide. I have had better snow handling with a Saturn. I should mention, too, that I grew up in the northern tip of WI and took my road test in a monster blizzard, driving a Geo Tracker. I have 20+ years driving, and I can drive dang near anything. The Crosstrek is sluggish. The pickup is meh at best, and the turn radius is AWFUL. It’s like driving a tractor! When idling in traffic, I can feel it starting to stall. I’ve never experienced this with any other car. I take care of my vehicles and I’ve brought it to several mechanics to ensure that something isn’t failing. I’ve been told that this is just how the car is built, even by the dealership. It’s also noisy. The road noise is obnoxious, to be honest. It’s hard to carry on a conversation on the highway. And the fact that the radio volume adjusts to the speed of the car is presumptuous. The built-in apps are terrible. GPS only speaks through the speakers a handful of times, no matter which app you use, and if you plug a phone in to navigate, it doesn’t speak at all. I’m not fixin to be looking at my phone while I’m driving! Pandora doesn’t connect half the time, or it has to be turned on and off several times, you have to unplug the phone, open the app, start the music, and then plug it in for it to work. It takes 5 mins for it to connect. Connectivity is mediocre, too, so both pandora and navigation are spotty. My favorite part about this car is the interior. I like the layout and it’s very ergonomic; however, the shifter slides over from one side to another, popping your car into another gear very easily, with little resistance. Resting your hand on the gearshift is a big no-no in this car. The seats are deep and it’s roomy, though, and a cross country drive was a breeze in this car. Even my 6’6” son fits comfortably. The gas mileage is great, too. It’s sporty-looking (for a Subaru) and it’s sharp. I can’t, however, justify the lack of power and precision in the snow and rain. I’m disappointed in this car. I had high hopes for the Subaru name, but I’ve been let down in too many areas here. I can deal with little app glitches and a noisy start, but when it comes to power & safety in all-weather, I can’t compromise. My choices were the Crosstrek or a Jeep; I regret not choosing the Jeep. I don’t think this car will last 15 years+, like the Subarus of old.

Great vehicle

Good price if you are a negotiator; great winter driving; nice space, roomy; stylish; good safety record; if you drive the original tangerine you'll get lots of questions & compliments

Nice Car

I’ve had it almost a month and love it so far. I really enjoy the versatility, but the ride and overall driving experience is really nice. I was impressed with the visibility - one of my biggest concerns about changing from a sedan to SUV. Even my wife loves it, and she hates everything at first.

Love the styling and all wheel drive

Ever since I laid my eyes on the Crosstrek I have wanted one. They are a practical car with smooth styling. My wife and have taken my Crosstrek camping and on little trips and it always performs awesome.

EXCELLENT value in a nicely priced car

Trouble free transportation in a nice looking all around good car. Clean oil and filters and a full tank of gas and you are good to go.

Great Car

Fun to drive. Turns heads. Many compliments. Very reliable and economical to own. Sporty and just a bit rugged as well! Never any problems. Just gas and oil! Subaru boxer engines run forever.

One of the best cars I've owned

Great car for anyone who wants dependability, great performance, comfort, necessary amenities and darn good gas mileage. There are only 2 minor features I would change about this car if I could. Great value and I would not hesitate to purchase another one tomorrow!

Very reliable vehicle

The car has met my needs and I have been extremely happy with its reliability and performance. Subaru makes great vehicles and I cannot stress how satisfied I have been with everyone in the service department. Great job everyone!
