Engine replaced at 50k miles for oil consumption.

7th Subaru owned. This has been a terrible vehicle. Engine replaced at 50K miles and has two oil leaks at 100K miles. Pulling engine to repair will cost $1500.00. Heat shield are rattling “due to vehicle age” and this has never happened before with much older Subaru’s? $700 to $800 to replace! Air bag recall being done now.... no charge. The recall letter states the air bags could cause injury and it could be fatal. I’ve been driving the vehicle for 6+ years! Safety commercials make want to call an attorney!! What’s next?

Capable SUV with good MPG

This model of subi has been great, outside of the factory warranty 2.5L engine replacement. Quick and responsive with the 5 speed. The automatic leaves a bit to be desired. Almost 9 inches of ground clearance is Jeep territory and the AWD system inspires confidence in rain, snow and mud.

Better than my previous 2007 Forester

I really like this Forester. Larger than my 2007 Forester, more leg room in rear seat and more storage space. It is comfortable for long trips.

Most reliable, safest car I have ever owned

I love this car. It performs better in the snow than most 4x4 vehicles I have driven. It is very safe. The "boxer" style engine made it easy for me to do the oil changes myself. Just an overall great vehicle

Reliable!

Had the car for mpre than 4 years now. Bought it used with 30k on it and already added 70k (100k+ total) and the only work I did so far was to bleed the brakes. The car runs as good as when we first drove it out of the dealership and still going strong.

Love my Forester!

I recently purchased this car. It is comfortable and drives very well. The interior design is very artistic, combining a variety of colors and finishes that really work. The paint color is gorgeous. It is called Sage Green Metallic. It has a blue tint to it also. The moonroof is amazing. I love the console for passengers in the back seat too. This is a really nice SUV! Visibility is excellent when driving.

Fun & Sporty Turbo AWD SUV - great safety

This car handles great in the Colorado conditions, has all the amenities you need, and has top of the line safety ratings. It's roomy and comfortable. The turbocharged engine gives plenty of acceleration.

360 Degree View

Amazed at the view from inside the Forester. Easy to see 360 degrees around the vehicle, a great safety factor. It can convert from a passenger vehicle to a utility in less than a minute and carry bulky loads. The rear seats are extra comfortable with lots of leg room, easy to enter front or rear doors. Extremely pleased with ease of handling and turning radius in tight places. My wife and I are retired and find that even after driving all day we don't feel cramped or achy on arrival at our destination. It can carry our camping supplies, a large Rottweiler and 2 small dogs with ease.
