I enjoy the car

It a nice car not the top of the line and fits my need. I love the color and the shape and it is a better car than the one I traded in.

Best car I have owned

This car is great, lots of leg room in front and back. Feels real nice when driving. Also lots of hauling room in the back when you put down the seats.

Love my New Subie!

I got the Horizon Blue 2019 Touring Forester. with black leather interior. I had a 2015 Chevy Malibu that had auto start and wifi features, but it was too small, so i traded it for a 2017 Outback premium. The size was great, but it had no great features other than bluetooth. I now have all the technology and room I want and need, all in one car, so I found the best of both worlds. It is really comfortable. The technology is a lot but you get used to all the buttons and features pretty quickly. The gear shift is smooth as butter!! I know some people complain about the power. I live in the hilly Poconos of PA and have no problem getting up hills, but I am not a road warrior who needs to pass everyone aggressively either, so It's perfect for me. My son is 6' 2" and oftentimes, I drive my teenage niece and nephew who are big for their age. We are a tall family (Im 5' 9"). There is as much space as the Outback, but this car is taller, so we fit even better in the Forester. I love the adaptive headlights that turn as the car turns. The kids love the heated back seats, air vent controls, and the usb ports so they can charge their phones. I added my car as a line to my ATT plan and have unlimited data in the car, so the kids love it. It is so roomy and comfortable inside. It drives so nicely. It is as quiet inside as the Outback. The car is a little shorter than the Outback, but yet it has as much room inside and it's taller. I found my Goldilocks of cars! I leased all my cars because I didn't know which one I could see myself driving for 10 years. This could be the one!! If the condition of the car, and pricing are good in the market, at the end this lease, I could see myself finishing the purchase of this car. It really is that great!! I looked at the Honda CR-V, Toyota Rav 4 and the Nissan Rogue. This one was the most beautiful inside with the quietest ride. The remote start from my phone, wifi, and the quiet and solid drive quality, pushed me back to Subaru.

My third Forester

I have owned a 2008, 2015, and now 2019 Forester. Every model gets better and better. 2019 gives a smooth, quiet ride. It has all the safety features; blind spot warning, lane drift, toward collision braking, and more. The seats are deeper and more comfortable than previous models. And pricing is extremely fair for what you get!

Problems rightboff the lot

Wind shield wipers needed to be fixed the first weekend I owned the car. Service gave me a hard time about it. After only 3 months of ownership, the rear gate works only sometimes, not cool at all for a family with a dog. There’s already a tear in the passenger side door arm rest, how that even happened with hardly anyone ever sitting there I can’t fathom, even so should be durable if it did get more regular use. The miles left on the tank gauge bounces around wildly and is pretty unreliable.

Doesn’t compare to a BMW X3

I am 6’5” tall when not slouching, so my selection is very limited when purchasing a car. Coming from a BMW X3, I have struggled with the Forester. I am almost over it, but if you can afford an X3, buy the X3. The good: The Forester is comfortable enough. Spacious. No issue with cup holders, but could have used more space in the cubby under the media screen, can only fit a cellphone in an awkward position. Amazing visibility. Backseats fold down super easy. Great storage space. Backseats recline a couple of inches. Some nice touches on the Info screens like the weather and forecast. Compass is great. Smooth ride, but yes there is definitely some road/engine noise. Car handles well. As far as engine power, it’s enough. It’s actually great off the line, no turbo lag because it’s not a turbo. As far as the CVT goes, it’s actually pretty good, for a CVT. Locking and unlocking convenience access without the key gob is a great option. The Eyesight Safety is the main reason for my purchase. Now the bad: The auto start/stop is horrible. Hopefully Subaru lets their mechanics disable it. It does not get as good gas mileage as advertised, but I never really expect a car to achieve those numbers (the X3 does though!). Verdict: It is a great overall car. It’s not for racing. It’s for safety and the reliability of getting your family home safe. Even if the Eyesight prevents 1 accident, this vehicle is worth every penny. It’s mostly my girlfriend who drives this car and hopefully our family will grow. If I have to spend an extra $100 a year on gas and push the forsaken auto start/stop button to feel that my family is safe, then I’m willing to do it.

So far it's been great!

Bought a touring model mainly because of the driver focus system and the saddle brown interior. Also like the new Jasper Green color. Just hit 2000 miles and car is comfortable and controls are pretty straight forward. It's getting about 32 mpg highway and 28.5 over all.

I'm in love!

Anything I didn't think about, this car has. USB ports in the back seat, heated steering wheel, heated side mirrors that work really quickly, it drives well and doesn't guzzle gas. I've only had it a week, but I'm looking forward to many happy years together.

My dog loves it

This is a pretty good car it offers pretty good power fairly good gas mileage round 27.9 and really is quite roomy however on the downside the Bluetooth simply does not work for very long this makes the car reasonably dangerous and I could not recommend it to anybody. It will initially take bluetooth but if you switch to the radio it will not see the phone again You can plug it in to android auto but it still will not make or receive calls. If this is not important buy the car If it is buy anything else

Excellent car for someone with a disability

We purchased an Outback last year that was supposed to be my car. My hubby was only pleasing me when we went with a Subaru - but now he loves it so much it's his car!! So I needed a car and researched the Forester. I love it. I have RA and getting in and out of the car is much easier than others I have driven. The height is perfect, seats are comfortable and heated, lumbar support great. I got the Sport model totally loaded. There are two things a out this car I do not like. The auto stop/start, which shuts off the engine at stop lights, etc., is very rough compared to other cars I have driven, and when it's on the car's pickup really stinks. Fortunately, you can turn it off when you start the car and I do - every time I drive. It's disappointing because that feature on other cars saves a lot of gas! The other thing I don't like is the stupid orange trim. You cannot buy a 2019 Sport without it and it is so ugly. I wanted the features that came on the Sport (paddles, SI# drive, dual X mode, etc.) so I am stuck with ghe orange trim. It looks like it was meant to appeal to teenage boys. The rest of the car is pretty, and the interior (other than the orange details) very nice. Love the console features. Voice commands seem to work better than in my daughter's brand new Honda Pilot.
