Very reliable, all-wheel drive is great

This car has performed great for commutes and long road trips. I recommend it to anyone, as long as you don't need high road clearance. Acceleration performs well only over 40 mph, but otherwise runs great.

Dependable if taken care of

Car is solid year round whether it's snowing/pouring out. Took us on numerous road trips around the country with zero issues. The 2.5 motors tend to get bad reputation due to head gasket failure. I personally did not have that problem but then again I religiously perform all the required maintenance and simply "take care" of it. I'm sure it's ready for another 100k miles with us.

Wish my relatives were as reliable

My third and best Subaru. The 2.5 GT turbo met and exceeded all my expectations. With an new and improved turbo I have achieved 272 hp at the wheels on the chassis dyno. Amazing!

Great car!

Great car! Works great in snow and is a pleasure to drive. Subaru makes excellent vehicles for snowy areas.

The last true Legacy before a major styling change

I owned a black '09 2.5 premium. The car was nimble, reliable and very practical. The steering was sharp and properly weighted, and the car drove pretty much like an E90 3 series, in terms of handling. Although it's under-powered, you wouldn't be disappointed if you put the car on S mode, because it would be lazy to upshift and the engine would rev up faster. On the other hand, the car was quite thirsty, in terms of its displacement, maybe because of its AWD and an ancient 4 speed transmission. The exterior was a little bit dated but quite "Japanese", and at least I liked it that way. The 4 frameless doors were really classic. The interior was quite simple and boring, and plastic everywhere. The interior assembly was a problem, and noise somewhere under the driver's seat base and near the sunroof could be heard occasionally. Still, a great value at all.

Great in the snow

This has been a great vehicle , however I notice with the Subarus they tend to have a rattle on their undercarriage after a while that's my only complaints

Great Car

I have owned this car since Feb of 2017. I bought it from a dealership with 98k miles on it and have had no problems (currently at 103k miles) the look of it is stunning from both close up and far away. The steering on the vehicle is nice and tight and hugs every turn I go into. It is a solid car in the snow and can't wait for this winter to come up to see if I can have some real fun with it!

All I've owned so far were Legacys

My previous car was an 03 Legacy so this one was such an upgrade for me. It's much more comfortable and its pickup is much better. The AWD has been very helpful in the snowy weather as well.
