My Subaru has the IQ of a hockey puck!
Sure, everybody loves their Subaru but I'm an exception. To be crystal clear...I wouldn't recommend MY Subaru. Bought a '22 Outback regarded as used because it was turned in by the previous owner with only 4k miles...WHY? I should have been more aggressive in getting the answer because I don't think I got the whole story. This vehicle has 1,300 pages of owner instructions! So there are many systems that can go wrong. With my vehicle it was that the voice activation of the nav and search systems simply didn't work. I went through two dealerships and even got up to Senior VP level with Subaru America and no one in the whole organization would admit it wasn't working when it was totally obvious it wasn't. At least 8 service people tried it with the same ridiculous result. Use voice to put in an address and it asks you to repeat it over and over. If it did accept the address it would ask you for what State OR it would give directions to a place in Chicago, New York, Seattle...which would be fine if I didn't live in Scottsdale. I rely heavily on a vehicle's access to the internet, mobile communication, and especially the Nav. Sadly, I turned in a great Kia Optima where I could say "Home Depot nearest me" and presto I was on my way. This Subaru doesn't even know what a Home Depot was. I even took it there and showed it around. The ONLY way to get reliable directions was to MANUALLY enter the address - but you had to know the exact address. I had an occassion where I had to get someone to a hospital emergency. Who knows the address of a hospital or a bank or store? Even a local one. Things worked out okay but that became a safety issue! Everyone in Subaru tried to convince me to use some kind of "work around" rather than admit that Subaru's system - in my car - sucks. I was told to speak slowly starting with "navigation," then State and Zip, then city, then street, then house number, then confirm you actually want to go there. The other suggestion was to buy an iphone and link it up to the car's system. One service manager said he has two cell phones in case one doesn't connect properly. Wouldn't it be easier to have the system work as designed and intended??? My biggest aggravation is that NO ONE in all of Subaru admitted to the problem. One dealer did say "We can't fix it so don't bother bringing your car in." I will say voice will make a phone call for me - it just doesn't know how to give directions, which is how I know it's a male car. Net, for me, is I won't EVER buy another, the aggravation isn't worth it. I'll give my money directly to animal shelters, thanks very much.

Wind noise from the windows
I love the body style of my 2022 Subaru Outback. Love the color, white with the black accents on the bumpers. The grey, twede, cloth interior is beautiful. The screen with all the controls in top notch. Heres the problem. I am always feeling as if the window is not all the way up due to wind noise. It is very disappointing when I realize the window is up all the way. I have taken the car to several different dealers and they say the same thing. They can hear the noise I am referring to and consider it reasonable for the vehicle. I have never experienced this kind of noise in other vehicles I have owned. For the price, I am unsatisifed

Bye WRX, Hiya OBW
Got a thousand miles on my new Outback wilderness. I put at least a hundred of those on dirt roads and mild Jeep trails. I live in the mountains of Utah was truly impressed by my 15 WRX by its versatility able to run on the track and able to run on icy Mountain roads. I live down a dirt road. And I wanted a fun car that I can sleep inside when I go camping. I have a beast of a truck as well... It rarely got used with the WRX and it will be even less now.

Farewell GM/Buick HELLO SUBARU
After over 30 years of GM loyalty, I purchased my first Subaru and couldn't be happier. The luxury and safety of the Subaru is unmatched for the price. I have driven new every 3 to 4 years and I see me staying with my Outback for many years ahead. Lokey Subaru of Port Richey has an excellent all-around staff. My salesman, sales manager, finance team, post-sale representative, and service department all get a well deserved AAA+ rating.

My second Subaru
Just got my 2022 Outback Limited XT and I'm glad I was able to get the model I wanted even though I had to travel from Miami to Philadelphia to get it. Based on my previous experience with a 2019, I knew that this was the one I wanted. This model has the turbo engine where you sacrifice gas mileage for performance especially if you live in mountain states. I am loving every minute of minute I'm driving this car.

Going out on top
Just purchased a new Subaru Outback Touring XT, what a nice car. Never owned a top of the line car before and even though top of the line doesn't get you a lot more, what it does give is worth it. First off the brown leather interior is beautiful, second vented seats, heated steering wheel and what a sound system! We're seniors and this will probably be our last car, talk about going out on top ;)

Best car purchase
First time buyer of Subaru Outback . Love the Java brown interior .Chevy buyer the last 20 yrs. The safety features rock. It’s big enough to carry my grandmas antique 9 drawer dresser inside!!! Extremely roomy. The ride is very comfortable. MPG is average. 30-32. The best is cars turning Radius! Awesome. Im a grown women that needs a car to go where I need. The car dealer showed all the ways to work with the screen. It was easy to learn. Stereo rocks with Harmon carmon speakers. The auto headlight lights work perfect with auto high beam when cars are coming at you. Not blinding drivers. Eyesight could be a little less touchy, living in the country with animals , it seems to want to put on breaks too much. I love the finger touch lock & unlock . The secret password on back . I can go on and on. I recommend this car to all my family and friends. Hoping it lasts longer than my Chevy’s.

Great all around car
Very safe, comfortable and nice car to drive. Prefer it over the Hondas and Toyotas. Great dealer in Tucson. Good handling and breaking. More than enough power.

bad dash design
pros: Smooth ride, pretty quiet interior, nice seats, sound system is good. cons: HORRIBLE dash system, get RID OF the Screen! you need all the safety stuff because your always looking down. Cruise control, have to look down to set it to something other than 5 MPH increments, studpid! Seat heater, can't turn it on from the screen, have to hit it, open another screen and then click again. Air flow - why on earth do I need to see a picture of how the air will flow in the car? I KNOW what the icons mean on the buttons, make them MUCH larger! Inside storage - to small of a storage bin in the dash and then you block it with USB ports, what a dumb design. Why no storage on the left side of the steering wheel? It also makes no sense to have the screen so low on the dash, again making you look down. Have it up top like the rest of the cars where it makes sense, keep your eyes on the road. Ironically you put the eye scan thing on the car, yeah it should yell at you when your eyes are trying to adjust stuff that should be easy. Get rid of that horrible dash tablet design and you will have a much better car. If they could get rid of that I would be perfectly happy with the car. I have 3,000 miles on mine and while I won't get rid of it for this reason, I am not sure I would buy another one.

Love the safety features.
Altho the cloth seats could be more comfortable, love everything else except the car shutting off at stops. I've gotten into the habit of automatically tapping the button to shut off as it only saves about a quarter gallon of gas with every tank. It shortens the life of the battery and probably the starter. Everything else is great. You have the choice to choose which technology you want to use. Safety features are great.
