20 years and still ticking!
Amazing SUV! I love it... 285K miles and going strong. 2 teenagers have learned to drive on it and it's now 20 years old. Bought it new off the let and never regretted it. Only the paint is starting to fail on the hood. Even took it to the Middle East for two years on a move there. Still gets decent mileage if I drive it carefully. Truly awesome and looking to buy an older 4runner like it for my kids as they head off to college.

Best Toyota ever 600K+
I own a 2003 4 Runner V6 SR5 and I have 654,000 Kms on it and still drives like new....basic maintenance...great SUV and great in harsh winters up here in Canada. If your looking to spend around 10K this would be the best vehicle for you.

Best SUV on the road~Continues to perform
Bought the 03 w 22,000 miles, "J' Vin #, sports V8 pkg w runner boards, sunroof, tinted glass, heated seats, rack on top, it's a work horse that won't quit me. The room & comfort of the seats~excellent & the heavy weight of the vehicle helped me cope w the winds in the desert when I lived out there. The design is relevant today, and, as much as I support EV cars & innovation, it will be very hard to retire my 03 4Runner Ltd V8.

Great first car
The 4 runner is a great car. I have a ‘03 SR5 4wd. My dad owns the car for almost 10 years and last year when i got my license he handed the keys to me. The car has about 307000 miles now and still runs perfect. The gas milage is bad, i get 13 mpg, but i drive it a little sporty. The engine is very powerful, i drive the V6. I dont have any engine problems. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who is looking for a reliable and big car for „low“ budget.

Favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned
We bought it new in 2003. It was the sport trim with V8. We had it for 9 years, and only got rid of it bc major maintenance was due and I didn’t want to deal with it. It was great with the V8. Plenty of grunt. Great sounds. Huge tires that went over all potholes. I had a great time driving in the snow. And on the highways, I didn’t have to constantly be on the lookout for potholes. It just rolled over everything. I had no worries. That was what made it so great. It was just super reliable and carefree driving. I didn’t have to worry about anything when I was in it. Still wish I had it, but we needed a 3 row SUV after that and the newer 4Runner had extremely tiny third row seats. There was no way my in-laws were going to be able to climb up and into them, much less sit there for any length of time. But, it was a superb vehicle all around. The only downside was the fuel economy numbers of 13/18. I actually got 11/17. But, 2003 was a time of $2 gas, so I didn’t care.

Most dependable car I have ever owned.
This is an excellent 4x4. Great in city roads with snow as well as off roading. It has been driven mostly on the highway. I have put all miles on this vehicle and keep regular maintenance schedule for its life.

Bought new off lot, best ever!!!!!
I would recommend and buy again. I have 177000 and I believe I just broke it in. I do take care of my cars. I’ve had folks ask me if it’s new. I just laugh. Take care of it and it will never let you down. I’m 57 and probably go to my grave owning. No need for another. It’s just badass!!! On or off road!!!! Peace out!

I LOVE THIS VEHICLE
My 2003 Toyota 4Runner has over 301,000 miles on it... other than a rust spot on the rear lift gate, it is still in great condition... and it has been well loved and used... i hope to get another 100K miles out it (fingers crossed).
